BBeyond Camp He may be only 22, but Hungarian BB Istvan Nemeth is already showing a nice flair for bad taste, and, in the second pic, a nice flair in general: http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../IN/istnem.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...IN/istnem1.jpg This will be a one-off, unless others have examples of BB kitsch they'd like to share or a strong desire for me to hunt down some more. |

A suggestion..... Deet, Don't have the link, but Mike Mentzer, of sainted memory, posed for some SERIOUSLY kitschy shots with his then-girl friend, Cathy Gelfo, in an issue of M&F, titled, "The Perfection of Man". He looked great in his sabertooth loincloth, though! |

At first glance in mentz 2 at the upper row of pics, it looks like his cock is wrapped up and laying across his leg. I almost got happy for a sec. |

Go ahead and get happy, for more than a sec if you want. Isn't artistic interpretation up to the viewer? |

Maybe it's because I saw them at a young, impressionable age, but Mentzer's lines to me are way sexier and more attractive than some of the blocky types winning contests these days. __________________ What's wrong with wanting more? "KITSCH"!?!? ALL these photos are obviuosly painstaking re-creations constructed by an international team of reknowned authorities on the Romagyptossyiriababylocromagnon period!(my favorite!)100% authentic.Sort of. |

Mentzer Quote:
Of course! If you just start with the assumption that Mentzer embodies male perfection, [He DID win the 1978 Universe with a perfect score. He was the first. Lee Labrada did it next.] it's totally understandable!! I also have the (in)famous(?) poster, circa 1979, of Mentzer standing relaxed, one hand on a hip, the other huge gun just hanging there! MAJOR inspiration for workouts! Esp. chest and tris! Thanks for the Pix, Deet! May your photo backlog increase! Mdlftr |

To The Hilt This one's turning out to be more fun than I expected. Hope at least some of you enjoy it too--I've tried to "maintain standards" for the men while goofing on the costumes, props, etc. Anyway, here's swordplay (sorta) from the incomparable Mike Mentzer and from Ralf Muller, Maurizio Galeazzo, Istvan Nemeth, Lou Ferrigno, Andrej Mozolani, Thomas Scheu and Aaron Baker: http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...ikementzer.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...ralfmuller.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../mgaleazzo.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...KIT/istnem.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...lferrigno3.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...ejmozolani.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...homasscheu.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...IT/abaker2.jpg |

Man and Headgear (OK, glammaman, it's safe to return.) The right headgear can bring your whole look together. Just ask Mike Dragna, Chris Dickerson, Marvin Montoya, Matthias Herzog, Milos Sarcev, King Kamali, Tevita Aholelei and Chris Dickerson (again): http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...mikedragna.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...dickerson1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...vinmontoya.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...hiasherzog.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...lossarcev2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...kingkamali.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...taaholelei.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...dickerson2.jpg |

Man and Firearm Who says you can't get a man with a gun? Of course, we abhor violence, but the THREAT of violence... Mehmet Yldirim (with vixen), Craig Titus, Sergei Zicuncov, Lou Ferrigno, Gianluca Catapano, Eddie Robinson, Joe Bucci and Scott Klein: http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...IT/yldirim.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...raigtitus1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...eizicuncov.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...lferrigno1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...cacatapano.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...ierobinson.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...T/joebucci.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...scottklein.jpg Last edited by deetrakt; December 10th, 2005 at 04:37 AM. |

Home on the Range? Maybe not. Mostly make-believe cowboys, but nice to look at. Gunter Schlierkamp, Mystery Cowboy, Frank Roberson, Rusty Jeffers, Samir Bannout, Steve Wengryn, Lee Priest and one more each of Gunter and Frank: http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...ntschlier1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...nowncowboy.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...nkroberson.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...tyjeffers1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../sbannout2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...evewengryn.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../leepriest.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...ntschlier3.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...kroberson2.jpg |

Our Men in Uniform... ...Police and Fire, that is. Three of these guys really did the job: Cottrell and StCloud were firemen in Louisville and NYC respectively and Coleman a policeman in the Dallas area. http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...T/rcoleman.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...iecastaing.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...IT/stcloud.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...tyjeffers2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...KIT/bdemey.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...ercottrell.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...rcottrell2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../rcoleman2.jpg |

BB Costume Gala OK, today ranges from the ridiculous to the sublime--you decide which is which. Aaron Baker and Mike Matarazzo as Batman (or Bat-guys), Gary Strydom as Clark Kent/Superman, Milos Sarcev as Elvis, etc., etc. (My favorite is either the bizarre shot of Lou Ferrigno dressed up as a Scot or Chris Duffy as a meditating flower child). Enjoy! And, please, if you have others of this ilk, PLEASE SHARE! http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...chrisduffy.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...IT/abaker1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...lossarcev1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...lferrigno4.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...T/tomplatz.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...arystrydom.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...avedraper1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../matarazzo.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...oltanvoros.jpg Last edited by deetrakt; December 12th, 2005 at 02:31 PM. |

Men in Camo.. ..no guns or ammo. IMHO, only Bob Cicherillo and Bren Baldwin could conceivably be actual soldiers (in some elite BB platoon, no doubt). The rest (Messrs. Levrone, Jablonicky, Cook, Schlierkamp and Atwood) are fighting a fashion battle. http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...cicherillo.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...T/levrone1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...renbaldwin.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...jablonicky.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../chriscook.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...ntschlier2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../artatwood.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...icherillo1.jpg |

I agree that Chic is the only musclebound soldier that's looks the real deal but man, those pics of Cook and Atwood ROCK! http://www.bigmuscle.com/~ncbodybuilder |

Finale Proud warriors and relentless hunters (and whatever other pics I had left): Kevin Levrone, Francis Benfatto, Andrey Krutogolov, Lou Ferrigno, Dave Draper, Stefan Havlik and Erik Fromm http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...T/levrone2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../benfatto1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../benfatto2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...krutogolov.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...lferrigno2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...avedraper2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...efanhavlik.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...erikfromm2.jpg |

Look who's joined the parade: Zeb Atlas/Andy Bick, of all people (at least, I think it's him). http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../zebincamp.jpg |
