Short Bicep I haven't actually started training, but I notice this on myself and on my cousin (who is a professional lacrosse player and quite buff) is that on our arms, when flexed there is this gap between our bicep and the crook of our elbow. It's more obvious on him, but if I started training it would be obvious on me as well. And it doesn't really look pleasant, to be honest. Is there anything one can do about that? I've been reading it's just genetics and therefore unchangeable. Which in that case I won't do anything about it, because it'll make it look worse, not better. Anyway, thanks for any information! |

Rotate your forearm so that your thumb moves towards you, and then forwards, when your arm is up to your side and you are flexing your bicep. The bicep position will adjust, and the gap will shrink. If your palm is facing forwards, it should pretty much remove the gap completely, although by that point your bicep will also lose most of the peak that it would otherwise have. Somewhere between will get you the best results. |

Actually, that's not what I was talking about. I don't mean for posing, because I know shifting my arm changes how it appears. I'm asking if there's a way to train the bicep so it doesn't have that weird gap and you can actually see it when you're wearing a t-shirt, which would otherwise cover it. So yeah, bump. Hopefully someone has an answer because I've been searching the internet and finding squat. |

It will help if you train the bicep from different angles and use a variety of different movements, but everyone has different structures and muscle attachments - you may have to make peace with the fact that your bicep is not as impressive as others'... |

What you're referring to is that firm thing bit between your bicep and the inside of your elbow, right? That is the tendon. While it can be a little possible to change your bicep shape by trying to hit the inner/outer heads and brachialis, for the most part there is no way to change your tendons, thus the "length" of your bicep is - more or less - permanent. |
