Gotta love this thread! |

Great pics! All of these shots are terrific, and I was surprised to see a couple of noteworthy ones, at least for me: The shot of Berry DeMey in the green trunks. I always thought that he had one of the BEST physiques in his day, and then all of a sudden it is like he just dropped out of sight, and we've never heard about him again. I wish someone would tell me exactly what happened to him and what he is up to in his life today. Frank Hillebrand while he lies on the beach with sand on his torso. There is just something about that particular shot that just, well, it is just a GREAT shot! And that's all I can say without stuttering. lol! Ron |

DeMey and Hillebrand are both in their 40's and both were what used be called "aesthetic types": handsome but not huge guys with great lines (like Zane, Paris, etc.). My guess is that both were just ready to move on--and it didn't hurt that their kind of physique was no longer in style with the judges. Also, my sense is that with their looks and poise both were able to make more money doing sports and other modeling than the average bodybuilder could. DeMey as far as I know still lives in the Netherlands, so maybe one of our members from that part of the world can tell us what he's up to. Hillebrand I believe has lived in the US for years, I think in Las Vegas. Anyone? |

I was just out in California recently visiting relatives and i stayed in a hotel on the coast and every day i was out there in the sun. There were some seriously hot guys out there, although none of them were the size of the guys on this thread it was still awesome watching the buff surfers walking around without shirts. Of course... it would have been even better if they'd been without pants... __________________ I won't sit down And I won't shut up And most of all I will not grow up. - Frank Turner |

Kevin Sperling The tiny waistline on Kevin Sperling is wickedly unfair to any of his competitors! I wonder how he does it? __________________ The Brain is a very powerful muscle - It can defeat you or it can be your best friend - the choice is YOURS! |

You know, I posted either this pic or a similar one over on Bodybuilders Inc. on a "tiny waists" thread and got not a single comment. I agree that --especially in this day and age-- his waist is remarkable. |
