New Pros to Watch in 2006 First up, Fakhri Mubarak, a 31 year old married personal trainer from the Bronx, New York. He got his pro card by winning the light-heavyweight class at this summer's NPC USAs and finishing second overall to Phil Heath. Don't know who took these shots but they combine a tremendous body in peak shape (check out the calves), great pics and great scans. (He claims to have started bodybulding at age 26, but I dunno...) http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...rimubarak1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...hrmubarak2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...rimubarak3.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...rimubarak4.jpg BTW, I'm not sure who got their pro cards this past year outside the US, so please post pics of other new pros or at least their names. |

Great idea for a topic! I have some ideas for additions. Stay tuned. __________________ What's wrong with wanting more? If you can fly, then soar! With all there is, why settle for Just a piece of sky? The Follies of Greg |

If he has done all that in 5yrs...life is not fair....very very impressive shape... It is amazing how many middle eastern guys seem to have fantastic genetics for bodybuilding. |
| |||
Arabs.... ...tend to have IDEAL genetics for bodybuilding!I'm not sure why either(big wrists?) |

Branch Warren OK, he's not really new, but he's only been competing as a pro for a couple of years. 2006 could be a big year for him. And these pics are new, or new-ish, and HOT! http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...TW/branch1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...TW/branch2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...TW/branch3.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...TW/branch4.jpg |

And don't forget Gustavo Badell. Anyone seen him on the cover of the new Muscular Development? Awesome!!! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/smshfans |
| |||
Although he is not a Pro yet, I would like to see my favorite, Faramarz Aghazadeh, win the 2006 USA and earn his PRO card... http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/4047/usa3lrg3my.jpg |

BRANCH WARREN IS PROBABLY THE HOTTEST MUSCLE STUD OUT THERE. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE PICS LIKE THESE. THANKS FOR SHARING. Quote:

Branch Warren There is something that is freaky about Branch Warren...it is the density of muscle on his frame and its condition. The only thing I find slightly odd is what I can only call the "texture" of his chest....he seems to have a completely different skin/vascularity in that area to anyone else I've ever seen. I presume it is part of his overall conditioning but it does look a bit leathery and odd.... He is still an awesome guy and I wish he would place better. To me he is the best bodybuilder out there and I wish Ronnie would be deposed as his physique is ill balanced and unattractive compared to Branch. I've heard that Branch is one of the most relentlessly focussed guys in the sport - a man of few words and incredible dedication. Lives in Texas I believe. |

nice man indeed a vote here for Faramarz Aghazadeh! he looks awesome And Branch Warren Looks really hot in those pics, thanks for posting! mutador |
| |||
Sighs for thighs.... I think somebody may have finally stolen the Tom Platz crown!I've never seen anything like the cross-striations on Warren's legs!YIKES!! |
| |||
A couple more of Branch (the first a morph I'm pretty sure)... ...and a single shot of the equally amazing Mustafa Mohammed, a pro originally from Jordan and now from Austria--another guy to watch in 2006: http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...TW/branch5.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...TW/branch6.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...TW/mustafa.jpg |

Mark Dugdale He first competed as a pro in 2005, finishing as high as 6th in San Francisco. My guess is that 2006 will be a big year for this 31 year old father of three. He's been putting on some size and his good lucks and squeaky clean image have to help, especially now. http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/dugdale1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/dugdale2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/dugdale3.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/dugdale4.jpg |

Daniel Toth Actually, I couldn't establish whether he's a pro yet. What I do know: he's a blue-eyed young BB who won both major Hungarian championships in 2005 and was named his country's "bodybuilder of the year". http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/dantoth1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/dantoth2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/dantoth3.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/dantoth4.jpg |
| |||
What is it with those Hungarian BBers? Csaba Kocsis, Zoltan Voros, and now this guy... they make 'em big and cute over there don't they? |
| |||
Don't forget ?kos Gaszt and, abvove all, Istv?n N?meth! |
| |||
great to see others with same good taste... re: Csaba, Badell, Mubarak, Warren! |
| |||
These STuds are awesome, but I would like to see pics of them before their dieting, lets see them HUGE. WITH BIG THICK PECS AND GUNZ. Any pics would be most appreciated. |
| |||
In agreement I'm in total agreement with Erpelding, Istvan Nemeth - is very promising, real classy physique there. |
| |||

New Pro: Stingray Charles Ray Arde (of Filipino background) just got his pro card in November by winning the light-heavyweight class at the NPC US Nationals. (All the class winners at that show get pro cards, but it's hard finding nice pics of Bill Wilmore, Jonathan Rowe, Jose Raymond et al. Another new pro with limited coverage is Marcus Haley, who won the North Americans. Can anyone help out with these?) The first two shots are from the Nationals and at least some of the others are from his MuscleWeb/Gallery work. Nice proportions, I think (V taper fans like glamma take note)--for a guy who's only 5'6" or so, he's got long legs, too. http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../stingray1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../stingray2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../stingray3.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../stingray4.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../stingray5.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../stingray6.jpg |
| |||
glam most definitely took note! He's got some impressive thickness there,too!Thanks,as always,dee! |
| |||
Stingray makes me happy Looking at Stingray's relaxed poses brings a warm smile to my face, very warm. |

Martin Kjellstrom A 34 year old BB from Goteborg, Sweden, he got his pro card by winning the Nutrition Outlet Grand Prix in April, 2005. He's 6 feet tall and plans to compete as a pro at about 270 pounds. Says he's "like a big teddy bear". We've had a few pics of him here, but now that he'll be showing up at pro contests, he gets the full treatment. The first couple of pics are from the above show, then black and white training shots and finally some off-season posing from this past fall: http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/markjel1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/markjel2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/markjel3.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/markjel4.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/markjel5.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/markjel6.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/markjel7.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...W/markjel8.jpg I'll be posting several more shots in other threads as appropriate, but to see much more of Martin, check out his nice website: www.martinkjellstrom.com BTW, still looking for names of other non-Americans who got their pro cards in 2005? Help, anyone? |
| |||
Mohammed Moussawi I'm posting this here because I wasn't aware this guy had gotten his pro card. The item accompanying these pics says he is flying in from New Zealand to compete at the Ironman Pro next month in Pasadena, CA. These shots show him 5 weeks out. He is in his early 30's, was born in Lebanon, is known as Momo, lived in California until recently and was a top US amateur BB. http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../PTW/momo1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../PTW/momo2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../PTW/momo3.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d.../PTW/momo4.jpg |
| |||
MO is coming along quite well, if you go to the www.graphicmuscle.com you will find a great vid of him posing. |
| |||
and for Kjellstrom, the pics of him pre dieting are HOT |
| |||
Benfatto! Training pics, taken 1/27/06, of the great French pro. Francis Benfatto, age 47, is returning to competition -after years away- at next month's Ironman Pro: http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...fben27jan1.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...fben27jan2.jpg http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...fben27jan3.jpg |
| |||
Benfatto! Damn! He looks GREAT! |
| |||
Good luck to him! 1st shot(lat spread with outstretched arms)is jaw-dropping.Legs look a bit light.He's an amazing poser,which is pretty rare these days.Should be interesting! |
| |||

GOOD LUCK TO THOSE MATURE MUSCLE MEN. that back pic is awesome. thanks |
| |||
One More Benfatto Pic I'd left this one out of the first group, but maybe it gives the best sense of his overall shape/proportions (remember: 3-4 weeks out): http://photobucket.com/albums/a282/d...fben27jan4.jpg BTW, if anybody's going to the Ironman Pro this month in Pasadena and/or the expo, please take your digital camera along and share with us! |

I was thinking that too MM. When he competed in the 80's he was a lot more streamlined, along the lines of Lee Labrada. But since the aesthetics have changed a lot since then, he has to come in thicker and heavier. He still is a beautiful, beautiful man though (right up there with Bob Paris and Dennis Newman), and I really admire him for coming back. I hope he does well. __________________ What's wrong with wanting more? If you can fly, then soar! With all there is, why settle for Just a piece of sky? The Follies of Greg |
