Armor as plot token?

Here's an idea for those struggling with writer's block. Either a suit of armor or a piece of a suit of armor (bracers, cuirass, etc.) could give the wearer "the countenance and strength of arm that befits a mighty hero of olde." (read as achingly good looks and big muscles)

Feel free to let this "seed" take root and show us what it grows into.

Clothing used for a mode of changing someone is common, but I rarely see transformations occur because of very old weapons/armor. It would be quite interesting, that's for sure. I was working on one but it died short because I am lazy. I might pick it up again, but my stuff is C~B grade so it's nothing to look forward to.

Actually I think the main reason I stopped was because I couldn't think of a name. . . Yeah, it takes stupid things like that to stop me. HURHURHUR

There's a semi-realistic way to do this too: a suit of armor specifically designed to tax the wearer's muscles, making him stronger as he uses it.

Of course, the image of some skinny guy putting on armor and growing into it, or OUT of it, is hot too.

Ooh, and what about absorbing the armor into one's own body? That could be hot.

I remember reading a story somewhere that involves a muscular guy being changed into a suit of armor so a warlock can gain his strength. I never read one where a guy absorbs armor to grow, though.
