NOOOO, its down I'd really like to get my hands on this too. Maybe its only temporary. *crosses fingers* |

That muscle suit really looks real! The pec bouncing scene with somebody else's body was well done too, but he looked about 30 lbs smaller. I only hope Travis gets to a gym and puts on some real muscle weight. He looks to be not even half the size of the suit. __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! |

Um....I don't believe it's a body suit, but an actual bodybuilder who resembles him! I believe I read about it some post in the past. |

The sad thing is, this is pretty much how most people think about bodybuilding. Better an emaciated punk than a muscleman. Sigh. |

Huh? I could have sworn that I saw a "behind the scenes" clip somewhere and he was actually standing there with his wife commenting about how freaky he looked. There was some effeminite guy there grabbing his arm and saying that "it almost feels real!" That's when I assumed it was a version of the Japanese muscle suit somebody showed us last year. ...Now I don't know WHAT I saw, maybe an additional spoof of the commercial? I did a little searching and only came up with this: http://www.pluginz.com/community/news/3572 . They used a real bodybuilder and grafted the face on digitally. __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! |

Hehe, the epitomy of what some of us strive to edit for it looks like. |

The "behind the scenes" was probably from the show "Meet the Barkers" on MTV. They list it as episode 203 - but I can't find any upcoming episode listings. |

Thanks Lurkabout, I am a confessed channel surfer and remembered seeing it, then moving on to another channel. So now at least there's a chance we can see it again in the future. We'll try to keep an eye out for #203. __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! |

My two-cents... I don't think it's a bodysuit, either, but some artful montage video, where they superimpose his head on the body of a real bodybuilder. Maybe the close up on the stretcher has him in some upper-body padding, the rest looks like photo trickery. I think. divis24 |

It is a hot clip, that for sure.. i especially like the part where he does situps and gets hit on the abs in the down position... would like to train the same way... |

Hot muscles in new Boost Mobile commercial When the commercial first came out, I heard that it was all done with computer wizardry, that they superimposed Barker's head onto Rich Piana's body. But then, I saw the episode of "Meet the Barkers" where he films the commercial. He is, indeed, in a muscle suit. That segment shows the special effects crew putting the suit onto Barker, patching in rubber pieces (like the traps) to attach the suit to his body. Once he's made up in the suit, they show him filming the commercial. Standing on the sidelines is Rich Piana, the guy whose body they used in creating the rubber muscle suit. Piana watches as Barker pumps and poses. After the commercial is finished and Barker walks away from the set, preparing to remove the suit, you see one or two stage hands carrying rubber hoses behind him that are connected to the suit. The hoses probably pumped air into the suit to ventilate Barker, and maybe to increase the pec bouncing effect he does on-stage. I was doubly astonished; first, to find out it was a muscle suit, and second at how real and lifelike the suit looks. Morphlover |

Wow. What a difference that ad has on Travis' looks. What i mean is that the regular old Travis with his thin wiry heavily inked bod, looks a little on the trailer park punk side...[mind you-he is resonably good lookin'!] ..Where-as in that Boost Mobile ad,Travis looks unbelievably hunky and sexy. ''...Muscle makes the man...'' Heres a screencap..from the ad. http://photobucket.com/albums/a6/whi...oostMobile.jpg And i done a quickie morph over in the pics thread.[New Celeb Muscle] Last edited by elysiumfields; March 13th, 2006 at 09:36 AM. |
