Foods I shouldn't hate

  1. canned tuna
  2. cottage cheese

These are staples of the weight trainer's diet, but I cannot stand the taste of either. Anybody else feel the same way but manage to eat them anyway? What kind of preparation works for you?

Luckily for me me I like the taste of both. However, I cannot eat cottage cheese without some type of fruit in it. I usually buy the Dole pineapple chunks and mix it in with it. Goes down much easier. Some people like it with tomatoes in it.

I don't have a solution for Tuna....I eat that right out of the can.

Pineapple solution...

...for cottage cheese is a good idea. Also helps to break down the proteins. As for tuna;lemon or lime juice?Chili powder? They can't add much calories.

Cottage Cheese

For Cottage Cheese, I bought a bag of shelled-sunflower seeds (high in protein) and mixed them in. Gave it a crunchy taste and actually very good!

Also, for Tuna, mix in some unbleached crackers (most come unbleached which was a surprise to me). Just crunch them up in the tuna and enjoy!

Dave.

I like both, I'm just sick of them!
