Plot for "DC Universe Online" I guess it's been around a couple years, but I just stumbled on an online RPG called "DC Universe Online"... Anyway, the plot seems to particularly lend itself to muscle growth story possibilities. The basic premise is this: In the future, Lex Luthor manages to beat Superman et. al., only to realize that earth is now defenseless as, conveniently, Brainiac invades with a huge armada. (Don't worry, I'm not spoiling anything--you can watch the opening movie(s) below.) Lex's solution? Steal a bunch of "exobytes" from Brainiac and travel back in time to save Earth. Exobytes are... basically nanites that Brainiac has used over the years to collect and store superheroes' powers. Now armed with thousands of these things in the "past" (our present), Lex releases them into the atmosphere to transform unsuspecting men and women into a new generation of "metahumans"--some of them heroes, and some of them villains. Anyway, there's the premise. I won't try to sell you on the gameplay and all that; I'm no gaming expert. But I will say that there are some interesting sub-plots within the game that make me think that at least a few of the designers must have some interesting fetishes. One relatively low-level quest thread has humans transforming into furries (but not the nice kind), and another has them turning into power-sucking mutants like the Parasite. I particularly recommend the Bane storyline in Gotham City: Bane's goons juice up on Venom in mid-fight, and it's pretty graphic. If you go through that quest chain as a villain, at one point the Joker will have you "turn the [Venom] dial to 11"... you know, just to see what happens. Anyway, I offer it up as an interesting inspiration for some stories. |
