Next installment of Davey's Destiny????

Is it in the works????

I'm dying to see what comes next.

One thing I did notice was the vague beginnings of some sexual happenings.....

"and I when I realized I was staring at the bulge in his crotch," hrmmm could this be the beginnings of a much bigger plot?

What's everyone's thoughts?

I'm sure you mean well but give the guy a chance to breathe. He just published a book AND wrote Flow, plus other writing projects, all in something like eight months or so. He has a life too. Let's give him a little space to relax.

As I understand it, Rowan is taking a well deserved break for a time, having finished his excellent story Flow. He then said he will be revisiting The Jascian's Toy. I'm sure he'll return to Davey's Destiny when the time is right.

We should probably give Rowan a break considering all he's written for us recently.

Either that or hunt him down and chain him to a keyboard. Either way works for me.

Umm, I don't think we have to resort to anything so Draconian.

Although I'm more intrigued by Davey's Destiny than Jascian's Toy, I'm not about to make demands on which story should receive priority. I like Davey's Destiny because of its "Twilight Zone" feel and its hint of darkness (evil?). Good vs. Evil story plots are some of the easiest things to do, but can often be the most difficult if done well. Moreover, achieving the kind of ease or simplicity in writing (like Rowan does) is extremely complex. Davey's Destiny has that kind of dark complexity going for it.

Best not to look a gift horse in the mouth. Let the writer work at his pleasure.

Then you're all set! You were clamoring for more of Rowan's work (can one person "clamor"? Hmm) and now you've got all 22 installments of Flow, possibly the best story he's ever shared with us, to hold you over!

(I'm assuming you haven't already read all of Flow. If you did read the whole thing and somehow still managed to miss that Rowan wrote both stories... well, to quote Dark Helmet, "Come ON, man! What's with you?")

Rowan said in his response after the text of the Flow epilogue that he was planning on taking a vacation. He said when he comes back he intends to work on Jacsian Toy rather than Davey's Destiny. I just hope he isn't going to completely finish JT before doing another chapter of DD
