Back in the Saddle

Hi guys! I am approaching 50 yrs. old, will be 49 next month. When I was 30 I was working out regularly and was at the point where I was getting lots of attention. However, I let myself go and now I am an obese man of 294 lbs.!

I have finally made up my mind that I won't stay this way anymore! I know what to do so I just have to do it. I am very motivated to get back to the way I was (6 ft. 2, 215 lbs. with a 33 inch waist).

I have been lurking on this forum for a long time, but now I'm in and plan to check in often for motivation.

Anyone been in a similar situation to mine, whatever your age? Were you in great shape and then hit bottom only to bounce back later? Would love to hear your stories, tips on training, nutrition, whatever. Many thanks!
