Meeting the bigger you Would it not be a great fantasy for the skinny 140# guy to meet himself at 280#? "Hi, Robbie. I am you a couple years from now if you start working out now. Feel these huge biceps that you will have. Watch how you will be able to bounce your pecs." |

A time travelling police box and perhaps a muscled Doctor as well? __________________ The stronger they are, the more muscled they are |

Oh no! Keep the Doctor as he is. The new guy is too cute to change. But you can do whatever you wish with his companions though. Maybe a muscular Captain Jack? |

Referring to....? Are we referring to Doctor #9 (currently on in the U.S.), or Doctor #10 (currently on in England)? Doctor-9 is okay looks-wise, but Doctor-10 is definitely a real cutie. __________________ "...But, as my plastic surgeon always said, 'If ya gotta go...go with a smile!'" - Jack Nicholson as The Joker |

Well, any Doctor really (but if you want a roll call) The First Doctor: William Hartnell (1963 - 1966) The Second Doctor: Patrick Troughton (1966 - 1970) The Third Doctor: Jon Pertwee (1970 - 1974) The Fourth Doctor: Tom Baker (1974 - 1981) The Fifth Doctor: Peter Davison (1981 - 1984) The Sixth Doctor: Colin Baker (1984 - 1987) The Seventh Doctor: Slyvester McCoy (1987 - 1989) The Eighth Doctor: Paul McGann (1996) The Ninth Doctor: Christopher Eccleston (2005) The Tenth Doctor : David Tennant (2006) __________________ The stronger they are, the more muscled they are |

I was referring to Tennant. He is a cutie! I do like McGann and Eccleston, as far as looks go, too. The others are too old or too frizzy-haired. LOL! In any case, the Doctor has met a few of his past selves, without problem, I believe. Um, is it true that "real fans don't fancy the Doctor"? 'Cause, if so, I'm in trouble, then. Mel |

they say everybody had a double somewhere in the world...what if your double was a huge muscle stud, and you met him? |
| |||
Hrm, this could give me some ideas ... but yeah, I really liked the Ninth doctor. His banana bit from the episode that introduced Captain Jack was a hoot. |

Rather than a future self, a quantum self might be better. no paradox and you have the added tention of knowing that the skinny guy could have been big if, like is other self, he had been working out diligently for the last 10 years. "of cource, my name means I Need Big Huge Muscles" |

I've had the same basic idea since a kid, but slightly different: I see everyone as having a big guy, a skinny guy, and a fat guy in us at all times. What we see in the mirror reflects which one we listen to/believe we are/act as. So I guess I see everyone as the same in an odd way. __________________ God is in the rain. |

...... the Doctor has met a few of his past selves, without problem, I believe. Mel
I don't quite remember how he was able to do that but I think it was because they weren't his current self just different versions of him past self. Remember the episode where the companion for the Dr ( I belive it was Dr #9 ) went back in time to see her dead father and what happened when the baby version of herself was put into her arms. |
| |||
Yes, that was Rose In Father's Day, Rose prevented her father from dying when he did, thus enabling a group of creatures called "Reapers" into the timeline and they had one simple goal, render that timeline null and void. But they couldn't get into the church because old things offered protection, at least until Rose held herself as a baby and that made matters worse. The only way it got better was when Rose's father allowed himself to be killed. __________________ The stronger they are, the more muscled they are |

I'm sure most of us have wondered was there someone in our past that could have been our future self. A family friend that we haven't seen since. Think about it but not for to long or you will give yourself a headache. |

What about someone who travels back in time specifically to interfere with their younger selves, or younger other selves, so that they turn out way more muscular? And additionally, the giant hunk in their lives could be changed by their interference to grow up a skinny nerd. All it would take is encouraging the younger self to be more confrontational and turn the tables on the former hunk so that he turns out to not go out for sports because the timeline has shifted and now he has no confidence. And etc etc down the years... |

A new story is under way The idea of going back and grabbing my old self by the lapels has crossed my mind before. But when I read the first post here months ago I figured I?d give a bigger self story a try. It refused to be a short tale and has taken much longer than I thought. Still the first part has been posted. Please check out Self - Talk. The paradox problem isn't a problem if it isn?t a physical encounter but a mental one. __________________ Those who wish to be offended will be. / |
