That's a bummer, Aikuchi. But, on the bright side, we get to see more of your wonderful work! That's an excellent start.

you know, I never noticed it before, but there's a hint of a sort of Yoshitaka Amano style especially in the hair and face. which is awesome. that's sort of how I see Sabin from FFVI. well done!

Ok, ok.

So I'll be using this space, to get a better stage-by-stage preview of my work.
Rather than tryand just show finished work (or take character suggestions), I'm going to try and improve my art skills instead.

So Tahnk you for any post-back feedback on the my work, thanks you in advance

Shoutouts to Dalbear!
Always love you work!

Thank you for the kind words, vlad

This is jus the base sketch with a some detail for guidance laid out. Following that is some base colour. I scamped out a rough background as well already. The base colour is set to determine the shading.

---------

The shading thus far, I think its pretty base so far, but i want to work on it more after I do the base tone for skin then the rest of the larger colour parts.
I might put off the background till later, but I'm not sure whether to work on it as a separate piece of just do it concurrently/simultaneously.
---------

Now this pciture still has not definite name, nor does the person inside.

Perhaps YOU, could names It or He? ?

A hello to TheMM *waves*

glammaman2000: Nice to see you again!
I never really thought about seeing the emotional quality to my art but thank you for the observation and generous words.

On a side note:
I recently found out, that on June 11th, one of my muses, my favourite fantasy artists passed away.

Tim Hildebrant is what really got my started in art (namely fantasy sci fi art)- and I mourn for the loss of the world now bereft of his gift.

He was awlays my inspiration. He works as well as many online free tutorials was always an encouragement to many young artists and I'm one of those. I just wanted to say a few words on that.
More details are on my my blog.

First off,
Much thanks and appreciation for generous commentary again.
Even moreso, because you posted. Its always nice to have posts

I dont really give it much thought I suppose abouit the more immaterial effects (emotional quotient of the piece) when I'm working on it. Sure, I detail the atmosphere and other parts of the sketch but in the end, I suppose I dont really look at how my work compares. Its a nice thought.

I'll try and keep thiese thins updated but, it seems to be a little wonky, Occasionally the images show up for me, but thats when i'm on a different computer (at work or outside in a cybercafe) than my own at home. I'll have to look into that.

NOTICE:
I sometimes add notations or just change a little somthing from my previous posts with the picture progress, so you might want to watch out for them
Thank you.

My apologies,

its about 3.30 am - and I havent's gotten any sleep since this morning. Was working on this since I came back from work late (11 pm) till now with seom breaks in between.

Have to get a few hours sleep before I wake up in a few hours for work again.

Sorry, if the owkr and brushes are a little crankier.

Still on base shading, but getting more depth.

Looks like it will be a great pic, Aikuchi. I see from your screenshots you are using Corel Painter, which I have been using for a couple of months, so it's interesting to see how you do things.

Ain't it great we've got so many different art styles in the forum? Keep it up, Aikuchi. Looking forward to the finished product.
