Happy Halloween Being a fan of horror movies, I enjoy a good jump or a scene that stays with me. I could conjure up visions of the Alien, or Chrissie?s death in Jaws where you don?t see the shark, or the torture sequence from Audition. On this site I could include any scene where the hulk shrinks back to scrawny Dr. Banner. However I realized that my most terrifying screen moment has nothing to do with scary movies. If I stop to consider the situation, I?d have to say my most terrifying scene is from Cabaret. It is when that picture perfect blond young man in his Hitler Youth uniform begins singing that lovely song in his beautiful tenor voice and the crowd gradually joins in a Fascist anthem to the Fatherland until and the intensity and excitement of the lyrics build to a crescendo proclaiming ?Tomorrow Belongs to Me!? The implications of that situation mark a society out of control and that I find truly frightening. You of course can go either way (and some of us do) on this topic, but what?s at the top of your list? Psychos, Slashers, Zombies, Creatures, or Clowns? Or is you?re your favorite fright as innocuous as mine? __________________ Those who wish to be offended will be. / |

The scene in "Cabaret"... ...freaked me out because I wasn't familiar with the show before I saw it. The cute blond kid came out; lovely tenor voice, & I WAS GETTING INTO IT!!! Showed you the seductive nature of fascism. But I'd have to say "the Exorcist". People were scared WAITING ON LINE to see the movie! & the scene in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane ?" when the maid comes in on Joan Crawford strapped up. It's a "WTF has been going on for how long?!!" moment! Amazing! |

Being an avid Stephen King reader since I was about 11-12, I read "It" and thought it was scary as hell. BTW, I have a natural fear of clowns. So, when they made the movie and Tim Curry played Pennywise The Clown, I was scared out of my head when he looked at the camera and said... "We all float down here!" Scary pics of Pennywise __________________ Donnie My Blog: Donnie's Diversions My MSN Space with pics & workout blog Jacksonville, Onslow County, NC, USA I'm reminded of the immortal last words of Socrates who said, "I Drank What?!" |

I'm not scared by much of well...anything in a movie, I get my laughs watching Jaws, It, TCM, etc. The Tremor series movies are good as well. Although you put me on a rollar coaster I'll faint before it even begins. |

Well I think this is as scary as they come. It's even more frightening that it found production... BTW, this is number 6 in it's franchise, although it's unpopular to number movies right now... __________________ God is in the rain. |
