Dude! How the heck did you find this? *I* just found out about it today! Well, not about the birthday thing--I've known that for a while. lol.

Warm Rush is currently number 17 on the list, and I think A Picture's Worth is 14 or 15 in its category. Not bad. Not bad at all. lol.

Wow, I just realized that I never related the results of this poll.

My story, A Picture's Worth, was a Top Ten Finisher in the short story romance category! The poll was world-wide, included erotic romance, mainstream romance, gay, straight, contemporary and fantasy stories in the same category, so the whole thing was insanely broad. Lots of works were nominated, and I know a huge amount of the votes must have come from this forum.

Not to take things out of kind, but I agree. Pretty harsh, considering what Rowan has contributed to this forum.. The guy churns out a number of phenomenal stories, and--as jsmith mentioned, didn't even ask that we vote for him; it was a request from another forum member.

Only thing I'd say is that maybe this thread should have been initiated in the General category.

In the future, I'll be bit more careful on my joking around Rowan.

My original reply should have been something like this:

It just wouldn't be a good New Year without voting for you Rowan.

Now that's all settled....I've got one thing to say and ask...

I myself, personally consider Xyg and McFly....err....McBride up there, to be equals in terms of writing...so...why don't YOU have a voting position on that list Xyg?

(Now if you have some other career in this world, and writing is just an erotic hobby, then that's ok.)
