You hear this from me a lot but let me say it again: This man does NOT need morphing. He is just right. Completely huge but without the usual flaws that ruin the big boys like a nasty roid gut or overdeveloped/underdeveloped parts. I think I'm in love (but he's straight and married with a kid. Damn!) Is he all natural? He looks it but most guys his size are doing something extra to get that way.

I agree that he needs to do something about his teeth--and I'm sure he will when he has the money.

I'm not one to obsess over minutiae, but his teeth are so bad, they're distracting. Not only are they unattractive, they also distort his face, giving him the hollow-cheeked look of some people from rural Kentucky or West Virginia.

He has a yahoo group run by his wife (who had a rant about people commenting on his teeth) and it always tells us of updates to his website.

Don't worry, his teeth will eventually get fixed, his wife will trim down and HE WILL GET EVEN BIGGER.
Good grief did you see his 2004 pics at 181 lbs?, then compare that to the 270 lbs off season pics?
My jaw is still on the ground, his calves range 22"-24"! seriously, there are guys out there with thighs smaller than his calves!!!
I can only imagine the stories he has to tell about getting pants to fit over those legs. He says they were huge even when he was a 150 lb middle school kid.

What a stud. It's good that his family supports him, because that way he's going to achieve more growth. There are cases when the family thinks bodybuilders are lunatics.
I think his physique is awesome but it needs more work, his lower body is over developed and he has to make his torso compensate that.

Well personally I don't see anything wrong with his smile. Let's just be grateful that he has teeth. In social work, I have worked with a lot of crack and methheads whose teeth have all rotted away. It's a sad sight. I know with bodybuilders its easy to judge based on what we see on the surface, but for the sake of decency, let's try not to do that here.

I really take offense to the attack on Erik's teeth. IT takes time and MONEY which is hard to come by these days. He may be big but the steroid laden freaks are bigger and currently winning the awards Erik needs to win to be able to afford a dentist.

With that back and those muscles they'd need a special reinforced dentists chair!


I myself spent almost $5 grand getting my teeth fixed and looking better. I also took four years off acting to be able to do so. I even let students work on my teeth. Erik will get his teeth done when he can.

IF you're so offended by his teeth, send him a cheque so he can get them done.

I met Erik and his lovely wife...they are kind wonderful people and he is a hard working family man that is trying to capture and pursue his dream. He works hard for his money, and if it were me, if I had to choose between my teeth and buying my children food and clothing, which do you think would come first???

Grow up, guys, and find other things to gripe and criticize, like your elected officials for instance....if you spent more time on THAt instead of this crap the world would be a better place..

LOL! This all makes me laugh, because I'm usually the one deriding others for their "cattiness" here.

I only made the comment about his teeth because Arpeejay complimented his smile, which struck me as pretty funny considering. But I don't apologize. Bodybuilding is all about appearances, and considering you can be sure this guy is psending at least two grand a month on food, supplements and steroids, he could certainly afford to have his teeth fixed. If he wants to be taken seriously as a bodybuilder he needs to do that. It's like an artist spending years creating a masterpiece and then displaying it in a crappy frame.

For all I know, he may walk on water, and his wife may be a credit to her sex. But she's still a pig, and I can't understand why someone who is dedicated to the creation of physical beauty would hook-up with someone who clearly doesn't give a damn about her own appearance. But that's just me.

The teeth are a bit extreme, he has an incredibly handsome face but the teeth are awfully distracting. Getting some orthodontic treatment would help his career but like many have said, it's pricey. He should look into asking his sponsors to help him out, since ultimately it would affect their ad campaigns too.

The only similar example I can think of is the guy who came in 3rd on American Idol last year, Elliott Yamin. His teeth were pretty bad, but no where near as bad as Fankhousers. Ultimately, a cosmetic dentist ended up giving him $50,000 worth of dental work for free because apparently his daughter loved him on the show. Unfortunately, if Elliott's work cost $50k, who knows how much it would take for Erik.
