Women don't appreciate muscles?

Here's a video of a guy with a fantastic physique who is obviously very excited to show it off. He has his girlfriend (?) with them feeling his muscles as he poses, and she looks bored out of her mind. She actually yawns.

Interesting. This guy and his friend (girlfriend?) are EVERYWHERE on YouTUbe lately. Searching "muscle" turns up new videos featuring him/her almost every day, it seems like, with the poster's ID changing almost as often. He's hot, but enough already ...

I think if the guy wasn't so into himself and thinking that he's the hottest thing since sliced bread.

Or maybe if he had more significant mass and definition he might be more justified in flexing and having his girlfriend be into him more.

She probably started dating him before he started working out and was really into him. But as he started working out and his body changing, he's getting that narcissism that is all to common.

Personally I think he doesn't have the body to be really flexing/showing off and wanting his girlfriend to be drooling over him.

He needs to gain 50 or 60 pounds of muscle first.

What?! Seriously? So the guy's not a roided out muscle beast, but he looks to be in great shape. Are only guys who look like Ronnie Coleman or Lee Priest allowed to flex and show off their physiques?

Guys, you all know what women want! MONEY! Sure, muscles are sexy but, hey, they don't put food on the table (unless he's a male escort). Oh, sure, women want the man who brings home the bacon AND a hot looking pool boy to "fill in the blanks". So why is she bored? Because he's more in love with himself than he is with her. - And that ain't bringin' home no bacon!

I dunno. She seems (in other vids, at least) pretty into him but he's not remotely as into her as he is into himself. And, from what I can tell, this is how he earns his living, a la:

He's a hottie, no doubt about it, but (this is really mean) I wish he'd get rid of her. Makes it hard to imagine myself there with him! :-)

Actually, I also have seen a LOT of videos from this guy and his girlfriend. In my opinion, he's muscled, but I have seen much bigger and better. And with all those videos out there, she is probably just going throught the motions...and we all know that there are women that are VERY good at doing just that, IMO.

And an observation..... I have always thought that it takes a real muscle guy or muscle fan to really appreciate the time and effort that it takes for other muscle guys to put on some serious muscle size. I recently saw to really big muscled out guys sitting together in a coffee shop together, and they both looked like they were ready to devour each other right on the spot! They weren't being vulgar, but they were being very demonstrative towards each other. I just glanced over at them and smiled, and they both just smiled back and gave a little wave (maybe an invite? who knows! LOL!). I just thought it was so cool to witness the display of massive muscularity and sensitivity in one package.

The point of that story? Well, maybe not much of one, but it was sure a really nice moment!

Women appreciate muscles. I think that women are often conditioned to think they don't like muscles. Girls always squeal when they see a big muscle man but then say that they don't like muscles. I think it's more than muscles--women (and, to a point, men) are taught that anything they enjoy is bad so some of them get excited over muscles but they'll deny it later.

As for the video, however, I think the girlfriend just had better things to do...which means that the boyfriend needs to dump her and reconsider his options.

And then go gay.

I remember something on discovery where they talked about what women and men find attractive in theirs and the opposite sex. When asked what men thought women were most attracted to in a man the majority said big arms and chests. When asked what women DID find most attractive in a man the majority said a nice ass.

Now obviously tastes and mentalities will vary, but I think there is a fundamental difference in how men and women see men, sexually. Maybe it's social, maybe it's biological, I don't know. But men are generally encouraged through their lives to look at muscular men as something to strive for. While we're growing up they become models of what men should be, and that's bound to stay with most of us for a long time. And the gay men who grow up with this indoctrination will see these men as the ultimate man, and that carries over when we start looking at men sexually.

Women growing up, on the other hand, are more exposed to soap opera stars, teen dramedies and magazine models, who are, for the most part, slim and fit but not muscular in the sense we're talking about. And when these are portrayed as objects to be desired that carries over just the same. I mean, think of any movie or TV show marketed towards women in the past 10 years. Are any of the main male characters muscular guys? I've just gone over a few in my head and come up empty.

Anyway, that's enough psychoanalysis for one night. Something to think about, anyway.

Personally I think it's a matter of men being too caught up in what they notice in other men, thus thinking that this is what women notice, too. Like arms and chests. So guys think big arms and chests are what women notice and like. But they don't stop to ask women; if they did, they'd be doing more squats.

It's not that she is bored with him, it's she bored with him wanting to film himself for Youtube. As much as I would like the idea of worshiping such a stud I wouldn't like the idea of him insisting "we" film it so he can be admired on Youtube.

I am amazed at the amount of people who want their 15 minutes of Internet fame.

He's not a YouTube celebrity originally. Really, he's Jeff of STR8Cam and he's been doing private webcam tapes for long before YouTube existed. I know he'd never do overt gay porn and probably wouldn't do straight porn either but he ought to see if he can get himself a gig doing a pro solo video to go along with his homemade stuff.
