ATTENTION ALL USERS: Please read for future reference! Okay, I like that people message me. That's why I post here. But guys? You DO NOT need to add someone to IM them. I really don't like to add people unless I'm sure about wanting to continue talking/roleplaying with them. So just PLEASE REMEMBER THAT FOR IN THE FUTURE!!! |

I agree with you MasterR. And it's a bit of a sore spot for me too. When I first got Yahoo Messenger I joined a bunch of groups and let everybody and anybody add me as a friend. Now, there are times when I log in and I'll get 10 or more pop-up messages from people I've never met saying "yo, 'sup". Personally I think it's rude to ask to be added as a friend without first introducing yourself by sending a message. At the very least, send a message with the invite request saying "hi... I saw your name on MGS, my ID over there is bigguy2007. would like to chat with you sometime." I still get one or two Friend requests most of the time when I sign on (still paying for the mistake I made signing up with dozens of yahoo groups). If the person doesn't tell me who they are or where they found my name, I deny them all. |
