Best Way to Highlight a Muscle

Here's a question to ponder:

What, in your opinion, is the best way to highlight or show off a particular muscle part of the body? Name the part of the body and the flex, or the strength feat, or the clothes ripping scene, or whatever that, in your opinion, best emphasizes that muscle.

In a chat with someone, we pondered this question. Would love to hear other people's opinions. It would certainly help writers in developing new material!

I think if you are very muscular a well fitted dress shirt shows off big shoulders, chest and arms.

Tattoos of bands on the upper arms can emphasize the biceps.

I'm not one for hairy chests personally, but that could work, too. Whatever floats your boat.

In regards to clothes, fitted clothes make guys look bigger than they really are.

Of course, this is my opinion. I could be wrong.

Showing it off, body-wise, in clothes.....

1. Overall Upper body: Fitted t shirts that emphasize a V-taper
2. Arms:
a. Tight sleeves on a T-shirt OR, even better
b. Tight tank top or sleeveless t-shirt, in a contrasting color (e.g., black shirt for light skinned guys, light colored shirt for darker complected guys) to showcase the arms, which should just "casually" hang down, with the "occasional" "inadvertant" flex, as the guy runs his hand through his hair.

3. Pecs:
a. TIGHT white t shirts
b. Tight tank tops, the lower cut the better. How low it is cut and how big and thick the pecs are makes a biiig difference. For instance, a lighter weight, finer boned lifter with defined pecs can LOOK absolutely fantastic in a well fitted, appropriately scooped tank top (higher cut). If the scoop in front is too low, he looks ridiculously flat chested and, well, "inadequate". IF the guy is stocky and "stacked" he can get away with a lower front scoop to his tank top.
c. short sleeved, chamois leather shirts with a drawstring placket in front, that is tugged open by the mass of the pecs behind them! Think of the way tight "football coach shorts" with a drawstring front hug a guy's package. Same idea, just higher up!

4. Abs:
a. Football practice jersey with the bottom ripped off, showing your abs.
b. tucked in fitted shirt--the v-taper emphasizes the slenderness of the waist. If the shirt is a t-shirt, and REALLY hugs your abs, ooh boy!

5. Legs, quads:
a. "Football coach shorts" with drawstring front. Tight and hugging the thighs
b. Daisy dukes blue jean shorts, cut off and fringed
c. Leather jeans
d. Athletic shorts

6. Legs, calves:
a. All of the above, PLUS
b. Clam diggers, cut off just below the knee
c. Long baggy bball shorts

7. Feet: [Should be clean, nails trimmed. Bonus points for hair on the toes, but not too "hobbity". Wide feet with a tan, and a good arch are preferable.]
a. sandals- the ones by Zuma with the wide straps and thick, "manly" soles
b. Flip flops, the flimsier the better. This works best on the boardwalk at the beach, paired with daisy duke shorts and tight white T or black tank top. Tan must be fairly far along. No Caspar the Friendly Ghosts!

These are just a few stray thoughts I dashed off. As you can see, I don't think about this much at all

When it comes to flexing, just look at a bodybuilder's repertoire. Every muscle between your chin and your ankles is displayed in one flex or another. The easiest ones are the upper body muscles. Legs can be paired with the abs, and biceps pair off well with the triceps and back. To show them all off at once, the most muscular works wonders.
