Does anybody know what happened to GMPics? I'm getting a "The page cannot be displayed" message. This is the second day that I'm getting that message.

No it doesn't does it. I used to use GMPics a load but then again that was before the advent of video sharing sites like Youtube, MyMuscleVideo (which just gets better and better by the way!) and, to a lesser extent, XTube. Since those sites have appeared there seems less and less reason to use GMPics, particular given that it works on a 'karma' basis so you have to post stuff before you can download and also the fact that you have to install this weird application on your PC in order to download anything which always made me a bit nervous. I'd just stick to the other sites mentioned above, there's some great stuff appearing on all three right now.

Quite true what you say TANKY, I still don't even know how I found the site in the first place. I don't look there very often at all now. Although when I do look once in a while there is a selection of cracking pictures, but little updated now though.

Hey Blake,
Have you accessed the site lately?.....ie the last week or so. Seems to have dropped out of site.

It sure would be nice if moderators notified us when their site was going to be down for a significant period of time, because it's impossible to know if it's just temporary, or if the site has closed down for good. But, in the case of GMPics, to just go blank is what one would expect from the moderator (Fred). Kind of disrespectful to many people who have supported the site through the years.

I tend to agree. I was one of the 'Karam police' and I'm as much in the dark as anyone. I hope it's only temporary. I know 'Admin Fred' has done a lot to get the site up and running in the fromat it's in and it would be a shame to see it disappear altogether......

I've just been back to the site....it now seems to be up and running again.....no explanation yet but but i'm sure there'll be a perfectly good reason why it was offline

I just registered on the site an find it's a pain to use. They seem to update their GMpics.jar on occasion and I just re-registered rather than go through all the hassle of upgrading. Haven't really used the site that much, especially since youtube, mymuscle, and xtube came on the scene.
