FWIW, my sons (13 and 16) think Bieber is a total douche. I used to refer to him as "boob-er" then "goober" then "Just-a-Goober" to much hilarity.

Good to know that they still think Dad's got the jokes!

For the record, Bieber did, in fact, at least graduate from high school. While I don't condone many of his actions, I do understand where he is coming from as far as focusing on his music right now. Given the state of the pop music industry these days, it's only natural that he should want to make the most of his superstardom while he has the chance to benefit from it, both financially and otherwise. I've seen at least one muscle morph of Justin--in fact, I have one on my hard drive--and in that condition, he actually looks quite impressive. I think it's on DeviantArt, although I'm not positive of that. His "handlers" would probably prefer that he stay slender, as the pop music industry market has long preferred an androgynous look (i.e., Leif Garrett and Shaun Cassidy in the 1970's, as well as Duran Duran (especially Nick Rhodes) in the 1980's, and perhaps Adam Lambert most recently). For him to muscle up would probably be the "kiss of death" to his career, as far as they're concerned!

Again, I don't condone many of his actions, but, given the impoverished environment he grew up in, I can understand them, at least to some extent.

Since I work in the music industry, I knew about Bieber at a time in his career that whenever I brought up his name, it would get the response "Justin who?" If you've ever seen his movie, Never Say Never, that's the Justin Bieber I became a fan of - a good hearted, humble kid who loved his fans and just wanted to have a good time performing. His success is an amazing rags to riches story, one that brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face. So, it breaks my heart every time I hear the news of his latest antics. I know that some of it is twisted and tainted by the media. I know that some of it is just a kid being a kid. But I also know that he's really screwing up right now and that bothers me to no end. I hate to see anyone, let alone someone with so much talent and the world at his fingertips, make a mess of life. I don't know what's causing it. Bad influences? Family problems resurfacing? Or just a confused kid that's getting eaten up and spit out by the industry? When it comes down to it, he's a real human that's probably crying out for help thru his actions. If I was given the chance, I would like to have a real conversation with him, not as superstar, but as a kid who has problems, fears and shortcomings - just like everyone else.

i don't know nothing about Bieber, except I like hair and he often takes a cute face shot. a lot of people really care pro and con about him. i don't give a squat. I don't know any of his hits, he's cute, but not enough to make me think twice bout spoofing him,. So this was meant as a spoof. i saw that thread starter pic out of the blue and immediatey thought funny spoof thread. some hate came out the wainscotting here, but that happens. I wouldn't worry about Bieber. He's got stress but that's because he's living a teen's fantasy. And remember a lot of us live a teen- and TMZ- and fan mag- free life. we just don't care and we aren't interested in Bieber enough to purposely put him down. His hair over his forehead and cute face,and fame are all I know and I have no interest in knowing more.

I wouldn't want a conversation with him; in fact, I'd be willing to pay not to.
