Pain and Gain on DVD and Blu-Ray Picked it up today and have been watching it. Don't know if it's a great movie or not, but Walburg and Johnson are in awesome shape. Walburg is just pointing to a section of a whiteboard with their nefarious plan on it and I'm thinking, "Whoa! That's an arm!" Okay, there was the scene with Johnson beating up a religious guy who was coming on to him with comments about his "glistening muscles", but I suspect that was just to appease all the straight guys in the audience who were dazzled by Johnson's seriously glistening muscles. Going to watch the rest of the movie hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. But the eye candy content is very high. bulkybud |

It is a tricky movie in the sense that the main characters are not supposed to be sympathetic or even likeable, but they have to be watchable villains. And the actors are playing people who are kind of stupid (which is where a great deal of dark comedy comes from), but they still have to be interesting. Those are some tough requirements for actors and a screenplay to overcome. Even without the eye candy I probably would have liked this movie, but I totally get why some people will hate it. |

Watched the rest of the movie and it was pretty gruesome. But, dang! Walburg and Johnson looked good in whatever they were wearing: tanks, hospital scrubs, prison gear, etc. But by the end of movie they were correctly labeled as dumb. While I have no plans to do the stupid things they did, but I have to say that they looked good doin' it. bulkybud |

Off-topic: I was looking toward some extra features on the disk about our stars, bulking up, getting ready for the role and there were NO extra features on the disk at all. None. Bad plan. Walburg's bulky pics were all over the Internet as were Johnson's looking incredibly bulked and ripped. HUGE buzz and they ignored it. No extra anything on the disk, when extra features are a DVD and Blu-Ray standard these days. No excuse for that. bulkybud |

Okay, got it. Not the place for movie reviews. Thanks for your feedback, atm94404 and wrestlejock646. Back to lurker mode. bulkybud |

Terrible movie. It is supposed to be a black comedy, but Michael Bay directed it, so any chance at humor went out the window. It was so bad, I couldn't even enjoy the bodies. |

I've only seen commercials for it so far, but I do have a question................. Did the really stuff Walburg and Johnson into a Pontiac Fiero |
