Given that you're asking people for assistance, it might behoove you to take a slightly more personable approach to asking for assistance. If a bum on the street came up to me and said, "Please, give me money! Don't waste my time with any crap donations!" I know my first instinct wouldn't be a reach for ye olde wallet.
