Scything disdain of elected officials I saw this on TYThttp://youtu.be/tiMPclUNV18 I was quite shocked ! The man is a congressman for goodness sake! And the reporter was only doing his job, asking a question that had to be asked. Wow. It doesn't really affect me, but it is bothersome to think that the people who should hold themselves to a higher standard, turn out to be like this. Apparently he did apologise, but I hope he doesn't just leave it at that and tries to find some help. The one thing I take away from this is that it is almost a given now, worldwide, that leaders no longer see their appointment as a trust bestowed by the people, but rather as some form of entitlement. |

Lately the "elected" officials in the USA are the puppets of big corporations not the general public.. everyone here believes we're a Democracy when the US was founded as a Republic and has become a Capitalist nation where money is all that matters |

Yes. Listen to them talk about "their" seat in the legislature, like they owned it personally. |

I couldn't agree more. Political cynicism is one reason why many people would vote for "Nobody" or "None of the Above" than anyone who is running. __________________ Rule 34: If it exists, there's porn of it. If not, it will be made. Exception: You can't invoke rule 34 on itself. |
