Valentine's Day Sucks

For those who dislike this day of dread, speak your mind here.

I dislike it. Nothing but gimmicks where romance is dead and capitalism is high demand for buying jewelry, flowers and candy.

My issue with Valentines day isn't the over commercialization of it but that of all the fall/winter holidays it's the one that reminds me the most that i don't have anyone special in my life..

If I had someone special, I wouldn't need one day to tell them how much I love them. I would do it every single day.

Only good thing today is the release of season two of House of Cards.

I have hated this holiday in recent years. It didn't bother me as much when I was perpetually single in my 20s, but then I thought I found someone and had my heart broken and it was tougher the next few years. This year, I've been so busy and focused on my new site and other ventures, that it hasn't impacted me as much, so hopefully that is a good sign. And I will admit to tapping in to the commercialization of it by having a "Love & Lust" theme with my site with one new file on sale and a second new free file. So, I guess I'm guilty of hyping it up that it's a special day of love even though I've never really had anyone to love on it

I also dislike it when you see the ones you know doing something you feel good for them. However for me, I never dated in my entire life. Even though it isn't a big deal, I feel like a kid still.

Rather then moping about being single and having to work, I treated my roommates to sushi lunch and wore a purple wig. Honestly, I had a nice time.

Just make the most of the day, rather then gripe about the commercialization. It's too late to change It, so go with the flow and try to have fun.

If I had any single friends now I would. However very difficult for me when I suffer from PDD NOS. I do anything to cure that ailment now.

To get back on the original topic, look at it this way: today is the day that those Valentine's chocolates go on sale dirt cheap. Although, this may not be a good thing if you, say, have to watch your sugar intake for some reason. (diabetes, diet, etc.)
