I would love for people to have multiple options of where to post without feeling beholden to a single site (or site policies), such as this.

Please take the time to revisit and save your favorite posts, stories, and to reach out to friends to establish other means of communication.

If any other people want to set-up another site or forum, by all means, please share them here.

Well I don't want to see the site go at all but when people attack the sole person who funds it, from I can gather, out of his own pocket (I mean, have you ever seen an ad on here?), it's going to their feelings. Yes, rules were changed and though I've read some fantastic growth stories with underage subjects, I could see why keeping characters over a general legal age was important for the well being of the forum. But clearly some people didn't and butthurt ensued (no offense to anyone) and like most times people vent online, they may have forgotten there is a real person behind the data on their screens.

There is really no place like this online and I've talked to many wonderful people and read some fantastic stories over the past four and a half years. All I can do is implore fleXodus to change his mind but it may be too late.

So I guess this is probably goodbye, I hope someone out there can make another forum just like this one so that we can all be a community again. Until then, anyone is more than welcome to send me skype/yahoo/kik usernames via PM.

Wow, I am in shock. First of all, I am sorry you were the subject of so much ridicule. You do not deserve any of it and your change of rules was a wise one. I will mirror everyone else and say that there is no other place on the internet like this site. It has great, quality stories and a niche audience. Other sites like metabods don't compare. It seems like you have made up your mind but it's a sad day for all of us. I hope someone is able to continue this forum on in another way. All the best flexodus!

I've got the correct resources and materials (i.e server and paid forum licenses) to continue the site.

I think it's the domain and the people who are already here that make this place great and seeing this go is going to crush everyone.

If at all possible I'd like to keep this place alive and running and stick to the ad-free wholesome nature of this place.

This forum has been an outlet I never knew existed.

It has let me explore my own fantasies and live other peoples.

I have been inspired to write and read other peoples work and get involved in it.

There is nothing like this site anywhere on the web...

I sent my thanks privately, but wish to address this to all of you. I have contributed one story only and it was not very good (I am OK with that. Hey, at least I tried). When I reflect on all the talent I have seen here develop over the years, it is heart warming. I will miss this site, though maybe it is the best for me as I may be on here a little to much. I want you to know that I did use the "thank you" option often and I meant it every time I made that selection.

The saddest part of all of this for me is how this site is ending. Though, having been involved in community organizations over the years, this has a famliar ring.

I do not know what is going to happen next, but please know that people care.

Good luck to all of you as a community. Someone said it best when they said there is no other community like this. Simple words, but true.

Whatever lead you to this point, fleXodus, just remember that for every moronic whiner there are many, many silent-but-grateful people (like me) who appreciate you and this site. Please reconsider. Or, at the very least, pass the entirety of the site off to someone else and take a well-deserved vacation. There's way too much history on this forum. I have to say that I can't believe I'm seeing the end of Musclegrowth.org, this site has been pretty much a constant for me over the last 10 years, a place that I could come on and read some of the best male muscle growth fiction on the web. While there are some sites out there, like Metabods and certain Yahoo Groups, none of them hold a candle to this site as a source for such wide ranging fictional stories that almost always hit the right chord with me. But more than that, this has been a place of acceptance, of our orientations and fetishes, and that, I think, I will miss the most. While people may come along and create another forum or site, it may carry a lot of the same members, and follow a lot of the same areas of knowledge, it will never be this place. RIP Muscle Growth.org, I will miss you. Thank you Flexodus for 11 wonderful years!

This site has given me so much, I feel I was never able to give back appropriately. I hope you appreciate how important this site is to many, many people and to me. This has helped me develop as a man and human being. Ive made friends here, guys I have met in person and have become life long friends.

There is so little out there for muscle growth as a genre!

I wanted you to know because, I want you to be sure that this decision is the correct one. God knows I've made some knee jerks in the past and come to regret it. I understand that people have been critical, but they are the minority, the overaching majority have nothing but praise for the work that has gone into the forum and get so much out of it. I, like many others, visit the site at least daily.

So, if you really cant, knowing all this, and you've thought it through, then none of us could ask for more and I'd like to take the opportunity to say thanks for site and I'm going to feel lost without it, at least initially.

I hope you change your mind. If not, thanks again.

Nobody wants to see the site go and over the years, people have offered to take it over from flex or contribute.

You do understand that if the stories were the problem, Flex could close that section of the site. Yet the "rule" only applied to fiction. Posting videos, morphs, real pictures of young bodybuilders, like Cody Montgomery, Lorenzo etc had never been questioned by the prudes on the site. If flex really feels uncomfortable with an 18 yo limit, then he needs to shut the site down. I mean, how would he feel about a physique photographer taking pictures of a teen competition that ephebophiliac might see? Personally, I don't believe he does feel this way. He's just sick of the arguments, but aren't we all?

This is not a new argument at all. It's gone on for years. As I pointed out above, what the censors on this list are interested in is quashing fiction writers. All the rest has rarely, if ever, been questioned.

Flex, I also think you should reconsider, or at least allow other people to take over the site for you.

Hi CMiller, this sounds great. If you'd like to set-up a new website, I can redirect traffic to yours. I won't be able to transfer the existing site database because of all the data attached to it (logins, private messages, etc). My hope is that authors will re-post their stories on the new site.

I do plan on keeping a backup copy of the forum database file and would like to make a downloadable story archive available in the future for sharing on whichever new forum that exists.

Yes, thanks for everything, Flexodus. I don?t see that you?ve done anything with which you should reproach yourself. (Please, please don't back down from this decision. The people who were being jerks need to learn that whining and moaning about a free service has actual real-world consequences.) (Arpeejay and Corwin, I'm looking at you ? although not you exclusively. The "So Long" thread turned into a whine-fest.)

If anyone else is going to set up a forum, may I suggest:

1. Figure out a set of rules to cover this (age of consent) and other controversial issues (is worship-only or sex-only permitted? how much FMG can intrude before the story is no longer permitted? are some things okay but only if there's a warning at the top of the post?), right from the start, and make it public and immutable without notifications site-wide. Have zero tolerance for rule-breakers ? and, importantly, delete the stuff which breaks the rules.

2. Zero tolerance for harassing people offline ? preferably, if the software supports it, with the ability of mods to check and see whether the PM system is being used that way. You harangue someone offline, you get banned.

3. Either make membership invitation-only or fully moderate the first 10 posts or so. (And make it clear that you?re going to do that.)

I've been on here since I was 13. Im almost 25 now. I remember the red and yellow older site. If I didn't have this site while growing up I might not be here right now. I don't know what I'm going to do without it. ...........To the entire forum......I'll miss you. I really hope we get a new place someday. I will miss the site. I actually quit for a while a few years ago but just recently came back to see if there was anything new to tickle my fancy. But us old timers know that this site has changed significantly from the early days. Not necessarily for the better. I'm actually surprised that FleXodus stuck it out this long. I would have pulled the plug long ago if only to seal the leak in my wallet.

If anybody picks up this site I wish them luck but I think it's time for me to move on, again, too.

If at all possible, and I could cover expenses, would we be able to transfer the domain as well so we can keep the same domain or is that not an option?

As well I think there's a way also within VBulliten to export all of the posts. If I could get an export of that I could keep most posts intact, unless we all want to start with a clean slate?

This is heartbreaking. Every evening, I've looked forward to sitting down and spending a few pleasant minutes away from the real world. I've said before that the stories posted on this forum are offered as gifts, and should be treated as such. It's so disappointing that such a small number of negative individuals can spoil such a good thing. If they don't like the stories, they don't have to visit the site. Unfortunately, because you were generous enough to offer all of this for free, the dastards had nothing to lose making trouble. May they be banished to dial-up purgatory forever.

This was the site that gave me the courage to be a writer, and I was ecstatic at the support that I received, and saw very little negativity. There is obviously more to the story that I haven't seen, and it's tragic that it's come to this.

Thank you, Flexodus, for all you've done. Because of you, I'm a published author. I respect your decision, and you're very magnanimous to be willing to help others take over. I wish I could do something to help, but I find I have less time and even less patience than when I was younger. It'll be a scramble for me to copy the rest of the stories I've been meaning to get to before the site shuts down.

I don't post often, but here I am. I was ready to join the chorus of members begging you to reconsider, but it seems things will tentatively work out in the end. So instead, let me express my appreciation for what this site has meant to me.

Though I come from a forward-thinking background and schooling, it didn't prepare me well enough for the emergence of my sexuality, and all I'd figured out by my twenties was that I didn't quite fit in any of the three neat boxes (gay, bi, straight). The angst over it all kept me from having any sort of love life.

Then came this site. At its core, it hit on one of my most powerful visual kinks: not just muscular guys, but growth before the very eyes. That alone didn't lead me to any realizations about myself, but over the years, out of love for some of the excellent writing, stories that pushed all my right buttons, and stories that went in hundreds of different sexual directions that left me unpiqued, this site helped me learn what disparate elements swim in my ultimate aphrodisiac. I won't bore anyone with the recipe list

Nevertheless, without this site, I'd have realized far later how varied human sexuality can be and that (mostly) it's all fine in the end. With that thought, I no longer live with the daily angst that my sexual mystery brought me every day. Now I only get to feel it when it's time to share my "dirty secrets" with a girl I really like. Some of you might be surprised how many of the "straight" ones live by the code of whatever floats your boat

Assuming this shop relocates instead of going out of business, maybe it'll be time I put some of my own work up for consignment.

Whatever happens, FleXodus, thanks for your fourm. I'll never forget it.
