Does neck equal arm size?

Though my growth has halted the last couple years, I noticed that, during my muscle growth years, my neck grew at the same rate as my arms. When my arms were 15.5" so was my neck. Then together they grew to 16, 17 and now 17.5". Is this pretty much true for you other growing guys? It got so I hated to wear a shirt and tie since I had to keep buying bigger dress shirts.

Thumbs up Necks & Arms

For me, it was the same up until the past year or two. My neck, arms, and calves were all roughly the same size. Recently however, my arms & calves have outpaced my neck. My arms & calves are roughly the same size (~18") but my neck is a little smaller (17"). As for dress shirts, aside from my neck size changing, my shoulder mass has caused me to need longer sleeves. I originally wore 15-33 and now and needing 17-35/36. Growth does have its drawbacks but I'll take 'em anyday!

Yeah, I had to buy shirts with longer sleeves, too. I did a several weeks of trisets for shoulders and had to buy 35 sleeves instead of my usual 34. My arms didn't get longer, my shoulders got bigger. Cool by me!

Long time lurker, finally posting. However, the same aplies to me almost exactly.

Unfortunately, my shoulders are by far my weakest point. What's a "Tri-set"? I want my shoulders to cause me to buy bigger shirts...

My neck and arms have always pretty much kept pace with each other, with my calves a short disctance behind. My shirt sleeves lused to be long at 32-33", now I'm more like 33-34" It's primarily because the back widens... sleeve length is measured from the middle of the back, over the shoulder and down the arm.

Shoulder triset

My shoulders really responded well to this triset:
seated dumbbell military press - immediately followed by
upright cable row - immediately followed by
side lateral raises

rest a couple minutes then set two, rest then set three.

Whew. Great pump and shoulders grew.

Tons 'o fun ... and the results ain't bad either.
