Unreal strangth So this 6'2" 230# 17 y/o from myspace tells me that he can curl 85# dumbells. Anyone else think he's full of crap? I've never seen anyone do that, let alone a 17 y/o, and although he has a decent body, he doesn't look THAT strong. I know there are guys out there that can do it. But how many 17 y/os can? |

I think your right With the caveat of not actually seeing the guy in the gym . . . I think your exactly right, hoosier. I mean, it is possible he could be genetically gifted with a high strength:mass ratio or something. My older cousin, 5'6", 190 lbs when he was 18, could bench 405 for a couple of descent reps at that age. Saw him do it, so I know it wasn't just bluster. But he was incredibly strong and built, much more so than most of his peers, and had been working out hard for 4 years to get that way. Rich was undefeated his junior and senior years in wrestling, mostly because he could easily outpower his opponents. The kind of guys that Rich is/was are RARE, IMO. What is more likely, if what he says is true, is that he can take 85 lb. dumbbells and throw them around with no form at all. |

What B. Spencer said: What is more likely, if what he says is true, is that he can take 85 lb. dumbbells and throw them around with no form at all. xoxo Richard |
