Ab Exercises In and Out of the Gym

Im trying to tighten my abs some, and I was curious what were some of the most effective exercises without a whole lot of strain on another part of the body- either at home, at the gym, or both.

Tighten your abs?

If you want to tighten your abs, you need to eat less! Exercises, of any kind, will only build muscle. Now, if you eat less AND train your abs, your muscular abs will show through better - and I think that's what you're really after. But be careful not to use weights when doing ab work or your ab muscles will grow and your waist expand. And I don't think that's the look you're after!

ok, so by eating less, you mean eating fewer calories and just watching waht you eat? and yeah, i want to show my abs and stuff, so i would need to do some exercises. Do you or anybody else have any tips on good exercises to do to improve?
