Chris Benoit I want to see what people feel is the motive for Chris Benoit to kill his wife on Friday night, kill his son on Saturday or Sunday and hang himself. Most of the media is sticking it on "STERIODS". I feel that he might have had some untreated depression, bipolar depression or a psychotic break. What do people feel? Did anybody know him personally? My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. |

To me, this is just another way for the media to degrade bodybuilders. I mean, I'm not forgiving him for what he did at all but the media is gonna pounce on a chance like this. They always stick it onto "da 'roids" just because he spent a lot of time in the gym. They love to degrade the fit people and yet allow cheap fitness commercials to air quite freely. Put simply they say: "Become fit so we look good, but not too fit or else you're a bodybuilder and thus a steroid user and thus are also a sick muscle freak." This rant was mainly focused to the media. I'm really not quite sure what to say about Chris himself though. __________________ In the MGS FC's I am Psycho Mantis! I only saw one of his wrestling buddies (Jared?) commenting about Benoit on FOX (or CNN). He seemed to feel that Benoit hid his condition very well from everyone he knew and didn't show any signs of being dangerous. In fact, he said that Benoit was the one that seemed to calm down his fellow wrestlers when they were stressed out. I don't buy that roid rage either. It has become a modern day "witch hunt" trigger word to start a media frenzy for ratings. Reality might end up that his profession takes an incredible toll on his body, and he made a bad decision to end it all because of the financial future of taking care of his special needs son. A horribly wrong decision either way. __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! |

Please checkout news stands for the July 2007 issue of People magazine featuring the cover story of Chris Benoit. I have read the article and still don't understand -- nobody can pinpoint a motive! |

Benoit ... ...worked out at my gym once (we're near Madison Sq. Garden). Big guy, but not super muscular. There has been some talk that he took too many hits to the back of his head. Can't be good for you. |
