i found this online, a dog with a genetic defect which has made him incredibly musclebound:

now how does one go about getting gene therapy to become "defected" like that????

I believe this is now the 3rd or maybe even 4th time this same story has been posted somewhere on this website. people should really look more closely at the different sections before posting things.

The dog lacks a special chemical that tells it's body to stop growing muscle. There is a picture of a cow with the same condition somewhere floating about the internets. It's an incredibly rare condition. A german boy was born with it a long while back.

Oh and Polo, no, you can't get it after you're born. It's genetic. ^_^

In fact this is the dozenth time this particular genetic defect has been posted in some fashion or another; in fact about half of them by polo...?

as for "born with it", that's research into 'gene therapy is about'; some people aren't satisfied with 'born with it'; they've made some progress actually.
