Muscle Growth in Harry Potter?

I never thought that this was possible but Rowling has tapped into our psyche. She has Harry's cousin Dudley go through some muscle growth of his own and he is huge now compared to everyone. For those of you who remember he used to be big and fat, but now he is just huge and wanted to take dumbbells with him when they were running away. And he is all about boxing now. This could be a side story all it's own.

Interestin, never read a HP book, thought they were way too over-rated, but you've caught a bit of my interest. Perhaps you might PM some more details about him to me? That's only not to have spoilers to those who also haven't read anything from the final book, I don't care myself, but it is certainly an idea.

I finished the book a few hours ago, it was great and don't worry, I'm not going to give away any spoilers.

But for the benefit of this thread, I think it's safe to discuss this, as it happens very near the start of the book, and I should think most people have read past that by now!

I got a lot more interested in Dudley when it said he was getting bigger and stronger. But I really dislike what they've done with him in the movies. CHAV!

My goal was not to relay anything that would spoiled anything for anyone. But now I can't wait till the final movie comes out and they show him as huge as he is now. He described as pretty fucking big.

There is also some muscle-esque stuff later in the book. I forget which chapter. I won't say anything else.

can you tell us what hp books they were from..since i started to begin and one of the weasly brothers was described as arms being musckled up but build of the twins gearge and fred..i think its the one who was in romaina doing something with dragons

You mean Charley (Charlie) not sure of the spelling. But yeah he's one of the shorter brothers and the second oldest really muscluar arms and shirts with cut off sleeves. He's in the 5th through 7th book.

I think he means the Polyjuice potion stuff when the 3 visit the Ministry of Magic. I hope they get someone hot to play "Runcorn."

I'm not sure if this is a spoiler, but I saw last movie (the 5th) and Duddley seems retarded. Big yes, but dumbass... I wouldn't care about that, but he's mean too. I'd preffer seeing him turned into a toad that into a muscle man. He doesn't deserve the muscles. Hm!

Well a correctly cast engorgio spell should do the trick: would love to try that on certain parts of my body.

Harry Melling has two years to make this a reality. He's gotten so much taller in the latest movie, I didnt' recognize him there at first.

Dudley DID look pretty dopey in the latest film.. Given his stocky slightly rotund frame in the film,if he was to bulk up for the last film,he'd be burly and heavy set more than having big muscles that are lean and sculpted. I might be wrong.Its still 2 years yet.

At the moment,at least he's not as portly and rotund as Jamie Waylett who plays Draco's hench-'boy' Crabbe, in the HP films.

Funny thing is.. I think Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy would look good with a bit of muscle,but his character seems to be getting skinnier,lankier and more pointy chinned [like Mackenzie Crook,the rail thin glass eyed Pirate in the Pirates of the Carribean trilogy] with each HP film. Its all down to make up and bleached blonde hair i suppose.
