And the question.. how do I download a youtube clip that has age verification on it?

Here's one way. Go to the clip, copy the address, then go to http://keepvid.com and insert the address into the bar and press download. A grey area marked download should appear somewhere below it, with the original link and Download Link button. Right click it, select save as and then make up a name with .flv at the end.

The only downside is that you need an flv player, but it generally works well enough.
