It kinda bugs me that the only reason for the comic is to franchise it. It's not about the story itself but about marketing dolls and games and adaptation after adaptation.

But, yeah, the guy is hot.

It looks interesting, though.

Interesting as it's made by the same person who designed the Crash Bandicoot games. The story is very cliched....b ut yes the guy is extremely hawt. Especially at the panels where he has beard on.

Hope you don't mind the creator jumping in- I have been reading the Iron and the Maiden chatter across the web, and was excited to find it here outside the comic world.

Glad to hear you all like the main character. Joe Madureira did a great job designing him, and Francis blew it away in pencils. I work out 4-6 times a week, so I have a respect for those that take it to the next level. It was important to me that the character look attractively buff not distorted and ultra veiny, with a 32 pack and other random muscles thrown in, as the trend has been in comics. I grew up in the heyday of the Schwarzenegger action era. That is hero to me.

Yachirobi, it wasn?t my point to use comics as a stepping stone at all. I know the books you are referring to, and if you?ve seen inside an Iron book, it should be obvious that it isn?t a ?vanity? piece as they call it. I spent an incredible amount of time and energy on the Comic to make it the best comic book it can be. We did months of pre-production, which few ever do on comics, and I went with the double-pencil team of Francis and Joel so that the pages would be ultra detailed. I'm currently thinking through the plot for the second mini-series. No movies, games, toys or anything else has been announced. I came from the video game world, so when game magazines ask if I am going to make a game, I honestly answer ?I don?t know, but it would be cool to see Iron and the Maiden as a game?.

I do think it would be cool-

Ahhh. I have to admit the look of the character. Well, not when he has that metal glove on... unless it's a prostetic. He looks a quite a bit better without it on. ^-^

I really like the colours as well. ^_^ It's just the setting I'm not particularly fond of. It does remind me of Lackadaisy though, which is nice, it's just... I watched the movie Metropolis which reminds me quite a bit of this, and Steamboy, and while the latter was quite good, the naimation added to it, and since this doesn't have any... hmm.

Nice to meet the creator though. ^_^ Greetings!
