Muscle in the future Here's some muscle-based questions for thought. They cover several areas of the forum, hence it being placed here in the General section. What will bodybuilding be like 10 years from now? Will there be major improvements in training and supplements? (Such as myostatin-blockers and all that.) What do you think you will be? As in what weight and general size of each muscle group? What size do you think the pro bb-ers today will be 10 years from now? Will this forum still exist? How many members do you think we will have by then (that aren't spammers)? Will all of the most popular artists/morphers/writers/etc still be here? If you are a writer, will you still want to write erotica? Or do you think it would have gotten boring and dull after so long? If you're an artist, would you simply grow tired of drawing muscle? Might you have moved onto other things? No matter who you are, will you still be here? Do you think that you might get bored of MG eventually? ----- I got this thought as I was thinking about my future and what I want to do with my life. I continued on but went to this site and what it might be like in 10 years (should it exist at that time) and who might be doing what (if they're here). Also if anyone else has some good questions, go ahead and ask em as well as answer the above questions if you wish. __________________ In the MGS FC's I am Psycho Mantis! I bet that as time goes on, theres gonna keep bein new ways to get bigger and bigger and bigger. The myostatin blockers are just one way that i think that it'll happen. I bet at a certain point, people (maybe not in 10 years, but eventually) will be able to look back at Arnold and say "look how small bodybuilders were back then." God only knows what will happen eventually __________________ I won't sit down And I won't shut up And most of all I will not grow up. - Frank Turner |

In the future men will not be bigger but better. You won't see roid gut or roid pimples. You might see some oversized guys who make muscle look bad but in the far future there will be men who will not only increase the size of their muscles but the length and strength of their bones and skin so that they can be taller and better framed to handle big muscle comfortably and effectively. They'll even be able to have their organs manipulated so that bodybuilder wheeze is a thing of the past and so that their hearts will be stronger so that the increased size of their bodies won't be a strain. Also, you'll eventually see quick growth almost like stories on the site. Guys will be able to go to the clinic and get injections so that over a few days they'll go from fat or skinny into super muscle stud. This might be like botox where every few months guys will go in and come out bigger or in the process of getting bigger. Some guys will have regular bodies on weekdays but when they're out on weekends or are vacationing they'll sport ripped abs and thick pecs that will fade away in a few days or that might be permanent so long as proper care is taken. Soon everyone will have perfect bodies. There might be an extreme in guys getting bigger to the point where some absurd sizes will be seen by guys, especially "new money" men, who want to show off their cash more than their bods. Afterwards, this trend will be overtaken by some other extreme form of body modification. Meanwhile, traditional bodybuilding will dwindle but will strengthen by becoming a subculture of men and women who completely reject artificial body enhancements, including steroids and even many supplements, in favor of a "pure" form of muscle. This will become more ritualized and perhaps spiritualized as they and others form a backlash against what they see as humanity's self degredation and destruction. |

And as for us? This site will hopefully be around but, if not, it will be replaced by new technologies that will take the fantasy of muscle growth to new levels. * Less expensive and easier to use animation tools will let us create full scale growth movies among other things. * Second Life style MMOs will be more realisitic and absorbing. A holodeck or Matrix like experience may be possible although this will lead to rampant addiction among many who favor their fantasy worlds to reality. These fantasy games may be strongly regulated for fear that people will become lost to them forever. * A realistic proposition: Someone from this board will become a major writer--not just of muscle fiction but of heavier stuff. That person may be open about his or her (likely his) muscle obsession but they might be mum about it although they'll most likely be open about their sexuality otherwise. That person's use of muscular men and muscle growth will be noted by critics as a trademark. * And a fantastic proposition: Earlier I mentioned muscle injections of some sort. With that there might be some method of men getting modifications that allow them to puff up at will. A guy, likely the type who today would get extreme piercings and tattoos, will implant nanobots within him which can be triggered by a certain action or thought to make him grow on the spot. I can even see how someone with a taste for bondage and discipline might put control of such an ability in someone else's hands so that they experience growth when their master desires. That would be hot but also really scary. It's frightening how far science is going along. Most everything I predict might be possible. At least one of them I can guarantee will occur lest we reach World War III (not that we aren't already there...) |

I don't think the "technology" of bodybuilding will change drastically in 10 years, but I think it will be a bigger sport with more people involved in it. I'm sure there will be improvements in training and supplements, definitely. Hopefully in ten years I'm around 200 lbs of weight. Honestly, I don't care about the number, I just want my muscles to bulge through my clothes. The average bodybuilder will probably be bigger... would be interesting to know what IS the average bodybuilder: height, weight -- and spot a trend with that year by year... I hope this forum still exists with little or no spam. It's been around for a while already, right? Still goin' strong. I will never grow bored of muscle growth. It's been an interest of mine since being a kid and I hope it never goes away. |
