American Gladiators to return

Boy, this takes me back. I can't wait to see the hunks they'll line up this time round.

Another show I remember fondly is Battle Dome mostly for muscle hottie Michael O'Hearn.

I loved the redneck guy on BattleDome... he did a hanging-type game usually... and I swear his entire arm was super-pumped after that game... WOOF

We had Gladiators in Britain. we just called it 'Gladiators', and there was this one called Hunter. He was gorgeous, if anyone can find me a picture of him, I'll do anything for them! I was lucky enough to actually meet this guy when I was very little.

I love how they're doing all the names, being really tough - "TITAN, STEALTH, MAYHEM, FURY... helga..."

WTF?

"Helga"? Really?

I don't know... but that made me laugh.

It's worse than that! It's "HELLga." Emphasis on the "Hell."

Mike O'Hearn's hair makes him look like a Ken or G.I. Joe toy or something. I'm not sure why they seem to have bleached it.

How old is Mike O'Hearn anyway..............he's been around forever. I can remember him in MuscleMag back in the mid to late 90's.

O'Hearn

I'm not sure how old he is but I saw him in Gold's Venice last Feb. He looked incredible. I agree with the hair comment from CartoonBuff. As handsome as he is, that hair makes him look awful. I'm looking forward to the action of the new Gladiators.

Too bad they can't let the gray show on O'Hearn. It'd be fun to see an older musclehead taking some young buck contestants down a peg or two.

And was Battle Dome the show with the thickly muscled-up tank of a ref?

Yeah, that was Battledome. The ref was Seth Stockton.

O'Hearn's stated age is 38 (he doesn't look it), so it's not impossible that he's graying. But if so, it would make more sense to keep it the same as his natural color. He's an incredibly handsome man with a great physique, but the hair adds an air of unreality, and not in a good way.

Still, it should be fun. Of the other guys, "Toa" is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's younger cousin and stunt double. You can see a slight resemblance, and obviously that family has a great gene pool.

Speaking of hair, "Wolf" looks pretty scary, which is no doubt what they're going for, but man. With the wild facial hair and the mop on top, and an apparently clean-shaven body, it doesn't suggest a werewolf so much as a lion who devours all barbers. I still wouldn't want to mess with him, but a slight trim wouldn't hurt.

I just caught wind that they are bringing this back during the Seahawks/Redskins game yesterday afternoon. I am intrigued.
