Well, I liked the chapter. While I can see why some people have their issues with it, I don't know why they must complain... I mean, no one is FORCING them to read this, nor is anyone forcing them to CONTINUE reading it.

I think musclegod300 can write what he wants, as long as his story falls within the bounds of a muscle growth story.

Instead of complaining about the content... Why not ask the authors who contribute to this site to put disclaimers at the beginning of their chapters? That way if you don't care for a certain topic, you can not read that part of the story. While I am personally not into sex within the family, I will admit that the growth scenes were hot.

I'm sorry if my comments came off as a complaint. It wasn't a complaint. I wasn't flaming anyone. I was just saying, for me, the story started off great. My anticipation was built up. Then I felt disappointed and thought the author should know that.

Yes this is a fantasy site. Obviously. In writing fantasy, the reader has to be coaxed into suspending their disbelief. They need a reason to believe that these things can happen. Superman is all-powerful because he comes from another planet. Spiderman can swing off of skyscrapers because he was bitten by a radioactive spider (OK, that one's a little harder to buy). My opinion is that when the growth exceeds human limitations the suspension of disbelief breaks down.

You're absolutely right-there are a zillion other stories to read. But many authors say they don't get enough feedback. If only positive feedback is desired, then they should say so.

A number of thoughts occure to me as I read this post:

1) I miss the original story. I liked the taboo themes that were touched upon. In removing the original version and replacing it with something more watered down, I think the author capitulated to the demands of the readers. I don't think this should ever happen.

2) Secondly, I believe that not all commentary can be complimentary. There is room for criticism provided that it is constructive. Ultimately, constructive criticism can be far more helpful and go much farther than any old "GREAT JOB". Unfortunately, some of the earlier comments in this thread were not constructive. Those comments simply disliked the story without saying why. This would infuriate any author.

3) Finally, no matter how infuriating the comments might be, there is no reason for an author to lash back publicly at his readers with degrading and insulting comments. In effect, it makes it look as if the author is incapable of handling criticism. I believe many people will hesitate to comment or criticize any of musclegod300's stories after his last post to funboy.

I look forward to reading many great stories and hopw that our readers can offer you better commentary in the future.

I cannot visit this forum and read its stories as often as I wish to; eventually I end up looking through the story histories once in a while, to see what I missed. So I have only recently encountered this thread.

I, too never had even a chance to review this story before it was apparently highly criticized, to the point where it was altered, then removed. Good or bad, story stopped or continued, I wish I had had at least the option to be allowed to read stories submitted on this forum.

If the story is not to your tastes, don't read it. If you believe the story is wrong for this forum, make an objective comment, and walk away. If the story is deemed inappropriate by the Forum Administrators, then they have the rightful option of asking for the story to be discontinued, and if it was massively offensive, the story could be removed for the good of the many.

But I THINK (as I could not see the work to even be allowed to judge for myself) people just ragged on the writer until he felt he had to take the story down himself to get people to just leave him alone. The fact that the criticisms apparently started extending to private email is a tip-off that the complaints of his story was extending beyond the limits of this forum's right to affect other people's work. That's just wrong.


To reiterate, I am not defending what was written, as I never got the chance to ever even see the story. But I would like to at least make my own decisions as to what I can read here, unless of course, the Forum Admin has a clear problem with it, and can gently warn the writer he's going into undesired territory (which I THINK they may have tried to do).


To the writer, may I say that you should not be discouraged, but be aware of complaints from the Forum Admin versus individuals. If the Forum Admin suggests it's not right for here, simply remove it intact (don't waste time altering it; then NO ONE will like it, including you), and in its place, post a link where people may have the option to read it elsewhere.

I hope this simple advice can help keep a little tranquility here, as tiny pettiness is exactly the opposite of what I thought the subject of this forum was all about.

Thanks dude! (I was musclegod300) this story/chapter was a difficult one, there was a lot of issue all around. The forum was very young back then, not a lot of boundaries had been broken down, and I was also extremely young when I wrote this (17) and very immature. A lot has changed since then (me and the forum) and its pretty hard to find anger in comments like there was in this one now

I have been silent on this issue since it happened. I don't wish to open old wounds and I don't wish to newly offend musclegod300 (now appearing as buffboy) as that was not my original intent, regardless of how it came off. And let's not get into new discussions along these lines please.

But Werecat - if you are going to resurrect old wounds and make comments about the argument itself (when none are further necessary) as opposed to expressing the simple opinion that you wish you were able to read the original story - get your facts straight as you read the histories. The private, derogatory emails were not from readers to the author, but rather the reverse.

Hopefully that is enough said on this issue and future commentors will simply choose to ask for the restoration of the original story if that is their desire and if still possible.

After this reply, I will not add to this thread again, unless it is in regards to healthy discussions on forum story guidelines, not personal pot-shots.

Let your opinion stand as the last word, to be evaluated by others ad hoc. I go on record of not casting an opinion of this issue one way or another, which is what I posted originally.

But my original statement still holds true, and was obviously completely missed... again. In regards to your suggestion of looking into the facts, THAT'S PRECISELY MY POINT...

There is NO WAY I can make discussions based on the facts, when they are unilaterally removed from my view before I can see them.

This was my original complaint, and it is still my only point now. You have absolutely no need to defend your past point of view here again, as I am in no way contesting it. As you say, that is past, and I cannot make a qualified judgment, one way or another. Let it go. Lord knows I am trying to.

My only concern at this point is how story censuring policies are set up in the future - a forum issue, not a personal one. Either you get that or you don't. If you don't, I am sorry I can't seem to express this clearly. Mea Culpa.


By the way, I'm not sure why you felt the need to re-identify the original writer of the story in question, unless it was to help me watch for similar stories from him in the future. In that case, many thanks; I'll keep an eye out for his upcoming stories with eager interest.

You obviously expressed an opinion and chose to open an issue that was laid to rest 4 years ago as opposed to Logan2009 who simply expressed the opinion that he would like the opportunity to read the story himself. Your original statement was not obviously missed - and no insult to anyone's intelligence therefore implied - right?

Finally - regarding my need to identify the original writer. I was simply acknowledging buffboy's previous post of August 11, 2011 where he identified that. Seriously buddy - learn to read and sorry if you take that personally - but it is rightfully directed at you.
