Wanna be an American Gladiator?

It's baaa-aack! NBC ("What have we got to lose?") is bringing back American Gladiators, that epitome of locker room fantasies, and they're looking for contestants and gladiators.

Just missed the auditions here in Chicago -- I'd have loved to see the hunks that turned out for it.

In other AG news, how much do I love ESPN Classic for running AG every day. I remember what a guilty pleasure watching that show was, mostly for seeing the muscle god Laser. Damn, he was gorgeous!

Your right, Laser was a HUGE Attraction. He seemed to get bigger every year. Those guns were at least in 20-22 inch range"

Gladiator in Person

I will never forget waiting to board a flight in Los Angeles and having Tower in the gate area. He was dressed very modestly (long sleeves) but he filled out his clothes to insane proportions. I was too intimidated to say anything but I enjoyed every glimpse I got of him. Being older and bolder now, I wouldn't let an opportunity like that slip through my fingers again. I can't wait 'til the new shows start up.

Continuing my adoration of Laser and courtesy of IMDB.com, here are a couple of what I assume are recent pix of Jim Starr/Laser.

I'm guessing he made an appearance at auditions for the new series.

Damn, he's still gorgeous!
