Mr. Olympia weekend in Vegas Next week we'll see whether Cutler wins the Sandow again, Coleman can reclaim it, or another bodybuilder overtakes them both. It was my first time seeing it last year, and I'm going again next week. Anyone else planning to go? At the same time, there'll be a "National Coming Out Day Weekend" celebration at the Alexis Park hotel. I wonder how many men would be in town for both? |

I was at prejudging this evening. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/olympia1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/olympia2.jpg I thought both Jay and Ronnie were a bit off. Victor Martinez looked great, as did Dennis Wolf. |

What a political ripoff! Quote:
BTW, anyone hear if Ronnie Coleman is retiring? If I were him, I'd hang it up. I think his body has just about had enough from the looks of it....although he is a great guy. D |

About a week BEFORE the Olympia, Ronnie announced that win or lose, this would be the last time he competed at the Olympia. He did say he still might compete on the European circuit. When he was announced in 4th place, he gave a short "goodbye speech" confirming that he would be in Vegas again next year supporting the event, but not as a competitor. Jay and Ronnie were both very off, and Victor did look fantastic. Victor had the most pleasing physique on stage, but he lacked any sort of "wow" factor. Even with Jay's flaws, when he's on stage you can't help but be drawn to his size. I believe that's why he won. |
