growing the kid that never grows

Lately I remembered Peter Pan, the boy that didn't want to grow up. Well, he never talked about not growing muscular. It could be a good forced grow story.

Indeed. Would probably make Captain Hook stop being afraid of that croc.

Peter Pan was one of my all-time favorite Disney animated classics. In fact, I had a huge poster of Peter flying over London. If you studied how he was drawn, you could tell that he was rather muscular and athletic! Sure, he wasn't a bodybuilder, but he definitely had some muscle on him.

I just came from a VERY crowded shopping mall. If you ever need to get some ideas for different story characters, then just spend twenty minutes sitting in the middle of the food court of a crowded shopping mall around lunch time. You'll see big guys and little guys, tall dudes and short dudes, skinny men and fat ones. You often see those kids who are tall and muscular, and you can spot those who will be skinny and lean all their lives.

I think it would be fun to take a skinny, short, scawny character, one who is even a bit of a geek or a nerd, who is the least interested in sports and athletics, and to "force" him to grow into a huge muscle guy, either by some scientific experiment, or by accident, or through some medical manipulation, genetics, mutation, or something along those lines. The poor kid grows from a skinny, nerdy geek, who has been teased and pushed around and picked on all his life, into a muscular hunk over a period of a few weeks, and must now adjust to living life on the "other side", as a jock.

I think that would make for a very, very interesting story. It could be done in combination with the Peter Pan idea, for the nerdy kid would hate to grow up, and now suddenly finds himself VERY "grown up" when everybody is looking up to him!

Well, those are my 2 cents worth....

That's a good idea Rex, Peter grows up (literally) but doesn't grow up (figuratviely).

Yeah... I like the idea of a flying, muscular Peter Pan... hehe... Remember, I have written over 30 Superboy stories, so I'm used to writing about flying, muscular boys...

Pete's gonna need a really happy thought and a lot of fairy dust to fly now though.

Remember all the lost boys of neverland? It would be fun if they all became muscle boys as well...

And the dust of that fairy would evolve into some kind of growth fuel?
