fair skinned muscle I wanted to start a thread as tribute to the beauty of fair skinned untanned bbers. they almost have a Sandow-esque, Victorian era look. for some reason most of the best pics come from eastern European bbers. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i2...hoto/EE098.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i2...hoto/EE707.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i2...o/DSC_0118.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i2...o/DSC_0117.jpg |

Suma Those guys look amazing. I understand that the tanned look is supposed to make you look better on stage, but it really does go over the top sometimes. Love to see how the milky skin of those europeans shows off the thick muscles and blue veins. |

Get me a name! interesting thread! of course, there's another reason why BBers might want to consider going tan-free (or at least exclusively DreamTan/Jan Tana) -- their health! Now, who the heck is the musclegod who's giving us a double bi in the original post's last link? Quote:

yeah he is amazing isn't he !! perhaps Deetrakt can ID him? |

Well, anyone who knows me will know I don't really go for the tango-look. Glad this thread started, all the pics are great! __________________ Check out my Progress: http://www.musclegrowth.org/forum/sh...ad.php?t=28258 Yahoo me: wowbuff06 |

Thanks for starting this thread. I love to see bodybuilders with their natural skin tone. It's especially cool to see the Easter Europeans. That stuff they use looks like they dipped themselves in chocolate sauce! A little tan is okay, but that stuff gets ridiculous. |

Fair skinned body builders look so much better before that nasty tanning oil gets on them and turns them orange. It's one thing to have a natural tan or to have naturally brown skin (or even darker if you're so fortunate) but that tanning oil just looks gross. I'd love to see BBers pose looking more natural. Just their natural skin, their natural body hair, and themselves au natural. And then they can do what nature wants a naked, musclebound man who is being worshiped like a god to do. *drool* |

Yes, Much Thanks, Its Hot To See Huge Muscles Unpainted. |

The idea for a thread about untanned bodybuilders is great, but suma you really kicked it up a notch when you included shots of unshaven guys. There's something primal and hypnotic about viewing an unshaven well muscled physique. The patterns and textures created by the body hair tend to lead your eye. You first notice the chest as it swells out and down from the sternum and clavicles. The rounded outer sweep of the chest is accentuated as are the nippled aureoles that crown the rock hard peaks. As the mass of the muscles belly out to form the lower chest a coat of fur details their undersides. The highs and lows of the abdominals are emphasized by the hair dusting their tumbled forms. A stream of hair forms as if collected from the deep crevices encircling the river rock abs and flows downward. This stream continues across the open expanse below the navel and finally disappears behind a drawstringed waistband. A poser suspended from the loins shapes and supports the subject's manhood. At this point one can only imagine the furry bush above the stud's cock as it rests upon the cradled testicles contained within the pouch of that leather or lycra sling. The hair on the arms and legs add further dimension to their mass and belie the power of a superbly muscled male. As I have said there is something primal about the unshaven physique. In uncivilized times, the hair covering a man's body drew attention and proclaimed the potency of his of virility. A male that carried within his loins the lifeforce that created this superior specimen and gave him the strength and power to survive amid the wild and primitive. What makes you think that deadlifter is strong? I'll bet that bulging power gut is no harder than a bank vault door. |
| |||
Good topic..... I thought it was only me for a while there, but I much prefer the fair skinned/natural muscle look. I often wonder when did competitors start putting on the tanning oil to begin with. I think it loks way too ovrdone and false, and then the real killer is when you see a competitor onstage and they seemed to have painted everything except their head, and then the head doesn't look like it belongs on the body! Give me the natural fair-skinned BIG muscle anyday! Ron III---III |

Someone should start a movement to bring back natural skin tone to the competions. I so dislike when a guy looks like he's been painted down with mahoghany-colored wood stain. It seems to me that a northern european completion would shine like a star up on stage with all the lights on him, making him look, not washed out, but more like an alabaster statue, hard as marble and smooth as a Nordic god. |
| |||
i'm sure they wouldn't go thru the trouble if it wasn't neccessary, but it must be true that on the big stage under the many bright lights, bronzed and dark skin is a must if you're going to be seen at your musculrar best. |

ooo that bulging gut covered in hard muscle like a cobble stone roadway. love that. Quote:

Off Season Muscle Does anyone know of a thread or post in the group that lists photos of BB's in the off season mode. Can't seem to find a whole lot of pictures or even sightings of the like. Can anyone help! |
| |||
go to You-tube, and check out linebacker365; his vids are HOT |
| |||
Maturemuscle is right, Bull, linebacker's vids are phenomenal. It's hard to come by stuff like that though. I'd love to see a bb contest where one of the categories is "BULKED UP". And, to fit this thread.."UNTANNED". |

Back when the AAU was the only bodybuilding game in town, fake tans were actually against the rules and got one disqualified, as did oil. But once the IFBB took over, that changed. I agree that pale, almost translucent skin is hot. That's one of the reasons I like Dennis Wolfe so much. But believe me, it doesn't look good on stage. Tanning lotions and oil became popular for a reason. But there is no reason they can't photograph bodybuilders without all that, when training for example. But they usually don't. Most photos are done the day after a show, when they are still ripped, and so there is no time for the tanning products to wear off. |

Pale untanned skin can look washed out under stage lighting so some artificial tan may be necessary. However, tanning product now seem to be overused - check Cutler in his last Olympia win, its hard to see the detail of his physique beneath the extremely dark skin colour. The overuse of oil doesn't help either, and the two combined mean that hightlights reflect too much light, causing glare, and the shadows are too dark because of the skin tone. I also agree that a dark body and a pale face is a bit strange. Maybe competitors should consult professional make up artists to get it right. |

one of my favorites looks great, without the tan. Vitaly Alexandrov http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i2...photo/bece.jpg uuummmmm would like to follow those veins with my tongue up to his armpits, and that belly of his yum yum |
