| Gotta Love Computers Hey everyone. Just a quick note to say my hard drive crashed and I lost everything. And no, I did not back everything up - that would have been so smart - now wouldn't it. Thanks to this site the stories I've written exist somewhere, but I did lose the next Chapter of "My Roommate's Body." That's the way of life. I'll try to recreate it soon and post. Sorry for the delay. Guess who owns an external hard drive now! Even the well known "Drive Savers" couldn't rescue my files. On the good side - the computer is still under warranty. Here's to beginning again. You gotta love fresh starts! Happy Holidays to all.     |

| I also had my "drivesaver" moment and could not recover much... finally switched to Mac and have found the transition and ease use plus less maintenance to be a joy... my two cents/ best of luck recovering Quote:

| If you think your switch to mac will help anything you are sadly mistaken. Regardless of the enviroment, I cannot tell everyone enough. You need two backups of anything important. A mirrored file on a second hard drive, and a optical or tape backup stored offsite. Data is valuable, it shouldn't be risked. |
