Personalised plate Hi all. Since getting my first car in April 2006 (1995 Toyota Levin, Black), I've been toying with the idea of getting a personalised number plate to go with it. At $400 it's not cheap, but with Christmas and my birthday coming up, I've asked for a combined pressie. Obviously I want to get something that says a growing and soon to be huge bodybuilder is driving this car, but with New Zealand number plates only allowing six letters and/or numbers, the ideas are limited. GYMRAT, BDYBLD, GETBIG, etc are all taken. Here are some ideas that I've got, all of which are available. The only problem is deciding which one! NZBBER, MSLFRK, GETB1G, HULK1, HULKN, HUGEBB, XPUMPX, MSCLBB, GROHGE. I thought that this would be a good place to ask to get some more ideas, or hel make a decision! Anyone else got their car "muscled" up with a plate? Thanks to any advise anyone can give me! Luke. __________________ Watch me grow! I personally like GETB1G myself. __________________ In the MGS FC's I am Psycho Mantis! "Put your controller on the floor...Put it down as flat as you can...That's good. Now I will move your controller by the power of my will alone!" |

I think I like MSLFRK, but GETB1G is definitely a close second... ABCDawg |

I'll add 1HULK and 1BIGBB to the mix, unless there's some restriction that the first character can't be a numeral. (...Or unless you feel it'd sabotage your chances for finding a life partner. Without having wasted $400.) ...Is that $400NZ, BTW? Not that there's much difference between $NZ and $US lately, ISTRecall. My word, I'm attention-defiicit this evening. Don't use GROHGE, tho. It's not as parseable as you might hope, especially out of context. Exactly all of the other options are better choices. -Pup |

British Numberplates with a Muscled approach A 200 LBS = Sold but anything ending in LBS is ?399 At the moment 1 NZ Dollar = 76 US cents __________________ The stronger they are, the more muscled they are |

Thanks guys. Always good to get other opinions, esp on something so public! Yes ny, that's $400NZD. And I see what you mean about the GROHGE plate. I'm leaning towards NZBBER and MSLFRK at the moment. Luke. __________________ Watch me grow! ZBUFF1? Saw it on an American plate, dunno if those are incompatible with NZ plates or not. |

Here's a few more to add to the list: 1HGEBB, GR8BOD, GR8MSL, HULKED, IRNBLT, IRNFRK, MSLGOD, MSCLED, MSCLMN, NZIRON, NZMSCL, RCKHRD, SLDMSL. Good luck! This is the kind of mind game that can go on for days. |

I like GETB1G. On a side note, when i used to be 5'9 and 110lbs a few years ago, i was going to put LILMIKE on my plate but i have since filled out and expanded. Now i'd put BIGMIKE or MIKEY. |

Awsome Thanks tarmangani! Now I really don't know what I want I checked the plates website (www.plates.co.nz) and all but one (GR8BOD) are available. So, MSLFRK, NZBBER, MSCLED, NZMSCL, 1HGEBB, and HULKED are on my short (but getting longer) list! __________________ Watch me grow! you really need to be careful and think through what to get because like you said it's expensive, and you can't change it once you do. I had one a few years ago, it wasn't bodybuilding-related, but nobody could figure out what it was because it was too cryptic. no offense to tarmangani, but about half of the ones he suggested nobody will understand (1HGEBB, IRNBLT? [I didn't even get that one for a while and I lift], MSCLED, MSCLMN, SLDMSL). those are all too generic-looking. and if it were me, I wouldn't use "BB" as part of it at all because the average Joe has no clue what BB is supposed to be, unless they see you get in/out of the car, so that would probably be useless. |

Sorry to add to your woes nzbodybuilder, but here in So. California personalized plates are pretty much part of the landscape. Most everyone is on the game and just adds vowels like they were on "Wheel of Fortune". That and little tricks like using symbols or numbers to abbreviate a sylable. Example: "GLDI8R" translates as "GLADIATOR". Just remember half of the fun is giving those who read your plates a challenge. You'll also meet a lot of nice people who want to know what your plates mean. "GDLCK". P.S.: Don't overlook the obvious. Is "MUSCLE" all ready taken?
