member stats

Maybe its just me,
I can understand if some guys are so bashful that they don't want to enter all of their stats or maybe if they just never took the time, but I find it helps if you put in at least a little info in the "current stats" or "goal stats". It can save a lot of guessing when you post questions about training or even just figuring where the other guy is coming from.
Can't some of you guys give us an idea of who you are (at least partially)? How about height and approximate weight? Are your goals to trim down or build up?
Chatter is good. C'mon get into the pool.

Stats...a good way to kill someone who isn't a math major.....hehe

I've got the stats. In all honesty....just a wee bit on the little side, with the hopes and good start to be bigger by the end of summer.

I'd do the tape measures for you all, but ...um...why make you laugh. Though, my biceps are the best at responding to working out. Give me time, the rest will jump out and say hello too. *GRIN*

OTTOMUN6:
Do you want us to put our stats here, or in our profiles?

MJ1978:
I was just in Atlanta the weekend before last for a few days of fun. I read your blog listed in your profile. I dragged a friend to 'early' breakfast on a Sunday at the Flying Biscuit. I also noticed a nice amateur-level bodybuilder, named Tyler, at Swinging Richards; he's about 5'6", 190 lbs, 10% bodyfat.
Which gym in Atlanta do you favor? I worked out at LA Fitness in Ansley Mall one day, and Gold's Gym Kennesaw one night (since it's open 24 hrs. weekdays).

Hi Traveler,
Yeah I think listing stats in the profile is best.
But me, I also mention my height/weight sometimes when I'm posting about a friend's size for comparison's sake.
As far as which Atlanta gym I prefer?, alas, I haven't been to Atlanta. I'm still rooted in the Greater Cleveland Ohio area
But wow, this "Tyler" guy sounds pretty buffed, did you talk to him about this development?

MJ1978,
Thanks bud, I understand about guarding those "before" stats. (That's probably why I can't find mine, I subconsiously hid them and now I only wish I had them around to see where I was back them)
But you sir have more info than most in your profile, see I can glance over at yours and remember that you are 6'1" and trimmed down to 180 lbs. So I can reflect that when we talk back and forth. (I promise not to recommend any weightgain formulas for your cause )
The ones I'm hoping to convince are the guys that put only the username in and nothing else.

Offseason or contest

MJ,
Stats are so irrelevant.
In the offseason I weigh 285, but on stage I've competed anywhere from 232 to 240.

I think what would be more interesting to members of this board would be how people have transformed themselves over a period of time... e.g. Before working out... and then after working out regularly.

Just my opinion.

Lightbulb Stats

Hmm,
Ya know, Bulkinupbig has a point there. Especially since the main point of the site is about musclegrowth. I'm sure it would encourage those skinny guys that are trying to get bigger. And the overweight guys that are trimming down and going for the muscular build.

MJ1978, are you SURE you're not 6'1"? Maybe you're just slouching?

I also think Bulkingupbig has good points, but most people's profiles tend to be fairly anemic. I'd like to see that someone puts some effort into their profiles.

Ottomun6:

Tyler told me his max weight was 200. Naturally he's very skinny. He said that he at one point took 2 g test/week--excessive amount in my opinion. Tyler intends to commute this year. I forgot if he'll try the Nationals as a middleweight.

I meant to say "compete" not "commute." My mind was more focused on going home instead of working. :^)

Call me dumb but...

Call me dumb, but I can't find who 'Tyler' is in this thread. I do with him luck with the test & the future competition.

Now I feel silly. At 5'6, he must be built like a brick sh*thouse. Thanx.
Brent.
