Hey msclbldr, I've been to the '06 and '08 Binghams, too. Dublin was awesome. I wish I could have gone this year, but I'm playing with a straight team this year and just couldn't get it together for the trip. |

http://www.tumblr.com/photo/1280/jus...dq1jiam1qe3nab This photo is unbelievable because the guy with the hand in his pants is so cheeky and the guy behind him looks like an obese 13-year old kid. The difference between American footballers and rugby ballers from the UK and Australia is shown in these pics. Same body types, but way different personalities. The Americans are uptight and proper, the rugby players are obnoxious, sexual, and just plain great to watch. |

OH ha ha suma! Did you see Part Two? It was obvious that it was fake, but whew how homoerotic! James Haskell is a big, hulking beauty of a man and I want him, BAD! OMG, his eyes are stunning and his strong accent is so sexy! Thanks a lot, now I'm horny for him! http://www.homorazzi.com/wp-content/...askell-abs.jpg http://www.homorazzi.com/wp-content/...l-calendar.jpg |

Seriously, though, we in the US who are less familiar with Rugby view it as a more "primitive" (for lack of a better word) version of our American football. Our football evolved almost directly out of rugby and seems to have a shit-ton more rules than rugby. But now that rugby has become an Olympic sport, Americans are starting to pay more attention to it and play it in our high schools and universities - last year's rugby world cup was even show on national television for the first time ever and the NCAA is beginning to consider sponsoring it. Needless to say however, rugby players are hot as hell... |

Sport relief! |

I guess ruggers are somewhat like pro BBers in that they gotta know that by and large their followers or fan base, and those that view their racey pics are men into muscle and there is a strong homoerotic aspect of it all, and they knowingly play up to that. Surely women don't follow this stuff and aren't buying the mags that would run ads of near naked ruggers, so who are aiming for as the intended market? with all that sex appeal? |
| |||
Luvy, Owens and Ochocinco are not sane human beings either. Owens does have a mental illness and Ochocinco says that he was 'immature' to have his last name changed and wants to change it back now. They are certainly not the 'norm' in American football. Suma, ruggers are not afraid to go after political issues either which is interesting. They use their sex appeal to get their point across. |
| |||
^thing is Raven , I find interesting, is sex appeal targeted towards other men, because women clearly don't go for that kind of approach and only those who follow sports somewhat come across their ads and reg basis. Women go for the Fabio types in romance novels. Ochocinco is the guy who treats his Twitter followers to dinner at NY restaurants, one story said he took 100 plus folks out , bill was over $7,000. that's gotta be nice for the fans, not so nice maybe for his financial security. |
| |||
Well, I suppose Ochocinco does have some decency. I can't really say too much about him because his cousin plays for my favorite college football team, the WVU Mountaineers. I was just saying that both Owens and Ochocinco have done some pretty obnoxious things in their careers, moreso Owens. At least Ochocinco is trying to repair the damage, Owens just doesn't get it. Rugby is slowing gaining ground in the US, but I don't see it containing guys that are as open as they are in Europe. Over there, the opportunities are larger and it is actually encouraged to show your assets in ads to further your career. (Of course men are the main audience. The sport is rough and rugged along with the blue-collar men.) In my eyes, rugby is blue-collar and American football is white-collar. |
| |||
Maybe in Europe, but here it's quite the opposite. It seems like the only kids who play rugby in the States are in college, and half the guys on my gay team are lawyers or IT guys. Meanwhile I see 5 year olds in the 'hood where I live throwing perfect spirals in the park. |
| |||
even the white collar guys deep down admire their rougher blue collar brethren, and they may not play the sport but they certainly will watch and follow the games. |

"Rugby is a game for thugs played by gentlemen and football is a game for gentlemen played by thugs" (although those on the West side of the Atlantic would call the football in question 'Soccer ) The socio-economic position of Rugby in the UK is complicated by the fact there are 2 varients of the game. Generally, Rugby Union is regarded as "upper class" and Rugby League is regarded as "lower class". This stems from a scism in the game in the 19th Century when working class players wished to get payed their expenses for playing in matches which the (generally upper class) Rugby Union hierarchy felt undermined the amature principles of the game. Ironically, 100 years later, the whole game became professional and the sport has become much more open to all. My team is pretty mixed in its make-up There is also a geographical element ot this division as in the UK Rugby League is played almost exclusively inthe North of England and not at all in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. This separation is much less distinct in Australia where both games are played too __________________ size IS everything Last edited by msclbldr; March 23rd, 2012 at 11:38 AM. |

We actually have 3 versions here , in conjunction with the fore mentioned two above , we also have AFL.This is short for Australian Football League , and is another game where a ball (same shape but slightly smaller and more stream lined) is kicked around a field and points are scored by getting the ball though your goals at end of the field.AFL is a much faster moving sport and the guys are not as solid built as the other games , but need to run and jump a lot more , so its a very fast paced game.Depending what part of Australia you live in , is how serious this sport is taken.If you live in Victoria , South Australia and Western Australia its classed as the top sport.If you live in New South Wales or Queensland , the sport is frown upon as been 2nd rate compared to the long standing and much rougher NRL (Rugby League). The History of AFL , is actually quite interesting as it was started as an off season sport to help Cricket players stay fit during the Winters.It soon grew into its own sport and now days has no connection to the Cricket following. One of the best things about AFL is the guys are mostly buff , wear tight shirts and even tighter short shorts.... |

Well he is gorgeous, Lawd in this country you only have to poke two faces to the left in any circle of friends and you'll crush your poor finger against rock hard rugby player muscle. Oh yum! |

Team in red, The Crusaders!!! My home team!!!!!!! |

Thanks, msclbldr. Yanks who've never seen an AFL match do not know how much succulent, athletic manflesh they could be watching. OMG...those muscle-hugging shorts and jerseys would probably not be allowed on the field in the good ol' homophobic USofA. Of course, the players don't seem to notice how tempting they look. Anyway, bless those Aussie lads! |
