The Cars. All the way. |
| |||
thanks i'll look them up right now |
| |||
So the cars drive you... Isn't it just the contrary? Sorry, i couldn't help the bad joke. Too tempting :P Anyway, a song I would use for losing fat/cardio is the "beethoven virus" that I love to play at DDR (and love to listen in my mp4 as much as i can). It really makes you move __________________ The Internet is for PORN! -Trekkie- http://chocomus.deviantart.com/ http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/user/chocomus/ |

(japanese) BOYS&GIRLS(LM.C)(japanese) operation ground and pound(Dragon force) ten speed(coheed and cambria) DIRTY.Nightmare(japan) the japanese music is amazing, i mean you can't understand but real its the beat not the words |
| |||
okay as with any song you get tired of it i need some more heart pumping ass kicking tunes |
| |||
My rotating list of bands I listen to while lifting (my brand of heart-pumping, earth-shaking tunes): Meshuggah - Obzen Helmet - Meantime Nine Inch Nails - Broken Gojira - From Mars To Sirius Torche - Meanderthal/In Return Converge - You Fail Me Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine Baroness - Red Album Mastodon - Leviathan/Blood Mountain Sepultura - Chaos A.D./Roots ...definitely not for the faint of metal. |
| |||
Aphex Twin - At the heart of it all It's a song that never fails to make me irrationally angry (electronic) Deftones - Lotion It's just a really intense song. So are more Deftones songs. It has to be your genre, though (hardcore/metal) Envy - Lies and releases from silence Quite heavy all the way through -- maybe not enough beat for the actual work out, but it gets you pumped up between/before exercises. (also hardcore) Underworld - Born Slippy The song just puts me in another dimension altogether. When the beat kicks in. (electronic) Good luck with your training |

thanks you ever want to chat about other tunes hit me up on ether messanger |

Some of Mozart's faster pieces are a nice pace setter. http://www.cduniverse.com/productinf...sic&siteid=112 This is a good CD that contains a bunch of them in one place. |
| |||

....yeah -- i agree, people are basically getting sick of the same old rock/hip-hop/r&b bullsh*t..... and there is just this big upsurge from a new style coming out of Europe -- best place i've found it so far is a compilation series called 'euro club hits' on itunes -- or check this link: http://www.futurelectrohouse.com/tracks |
| |||
yeah i refuse to pay for itunes, just band names and songs |

Yeah, I prefer to listen to electronic music during workouts, which is what I usually listen to outside of workouts, along with a heaping dose of classical music of all periods. I've been listening to a lot of Burial (both albums are amazing, although his first album gained him much notoriety in the UK electronic circles), Armin van Buuren (typical gym shit... and just, well, typical in general, but it works for what I want it to do). I do a lot of cardio as well, so I guess that is where the van Buuren comes into play. It's funny though: My boyfriend who is European listens to a lot of American music in the gym; and, I, an American, listen to a helluvalotta European music when I go to lift. Odd, eh? |
| |||
recently got shown atreyu and the killers along with x japan gotta find more music my ipods only half full |
| |||
Myself I enjoy listening to mixes. Not say, random remixes I may have, but a set track list that blends with each other. For that I recommend these two albums: Ultra 2008 and Ultra Dance 09. |
| |||
Anything but not country music--that's the muzak in the waiting room for hell. Once you get to hell its all Britney Spears, and Boy Bands. |
| |||
Fishers CD When i lift i use metal and anything loud....heres one of my lifting mixes: Disturbed - "Inside the fire" "Facade" "Want" "Meaning of life" Drowning Pool - "Let the bodies hit the floor" Five Finger Death Punch - "Never enough" "White Kuckles" Megadeth - "Die dead enough" Metallica - "Enter sandman" "Sad but true" "Holier that you" "Whereever i may roam" "Dont tread on me" "Through the never" Nothingface - "In avernus" "I am him" Saliva - "Always" "Superstar" Scars of life - "Eyes pried open" |

BigLittleTim mentioned awhile back "high energy techno" ... I have always found that genre of music very motivating...I just never had access to an iPod or other mp3 player to help keep me motivated, cuz some of the crap the gyms I have been to have played was very not to my liking. Hence the nickname -- the tekno part is partially derived from the techno music. But there is even some really good trance music that is high in energy, just look at all the music that the DJs spin at raves! (but they are also hyped up on stuff to keep them awake too, but I digress...) __________________ Cheers, Teknodave Board Moderator MGS Author |

I might be strange in that I love some blues to get me going in the gym. The passion they invoke makes me put passion in my lifts and on the treadmill, or for me eliptical. One song that really keeps me going that I can get into and ignore the pain is Sinnerman by Bill Conti I also love listening to Pick a bail of cotton, Irene goodnight, and In the Pines by Leadbelly, aka Huddie ledbetter. if you want more rock oriented, Sublime are good for faster paced tunes Or if you want some celtic/irish/scottish, but good old Canadian tunes try the night patty murphy died, or drunken sailor, or mary mac by great big sea. |
| |||
Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks As the readers can tell, any kind of music can get you pumped in the gym. It all depends on your own individual tastes. P.S. I have to agree with inflated about country music being played in the waiting room to hell. Once you get to the second circle a la Dante's Inferno, it's Britney Spears and boy bands. __________________ Rule 34: If it exists, there's porn of it. If not, it will be made. going on a new music tangent papa roach change or die. buckcherry rescue me say anything molly conally, the phone song |

For some reason our gym is either Reggae or Classic Rock. And it's usually the same mix of songs over and over and over and over . . . . So I try to use my iPod. Just about anything from Disturbed gets me motivated. A few other songs that get me going: "Bodies" by Drowning Pool - love the build up. "Animal I Have Become" by Three Days Grace If anyone knows similar songs/groups to these, would appreciate it. Thanks |

Please Ultra, while disk 2 with a possible reduction - to get seats on CD mixes! Detail for a club mix of this track full potential, so you really have here is cheating. More than a great club song collectors of CDs I want in 3 minutes! Track 1 started with problems immediately. Russian Roulette Club defeated only when a slamming club mix combination will Mariah. Almost immediately with a small entry, to get started is to allow kick start. Mariah 3 minutes and then out of the track is in the room for a Pitbull mix. 3 minutes of this. Finally, we Kelly Clarkson Chris Ortega mix of a track are located 5 minutes. __________________ cosmetic foot surgery |

four year strong is amazing. |

I realise that this topic is old, but making a new one to discuss music doesn't seem much more logical than posting here, so here I am. I listen to country music while working out. It's one of my favorite genres, the other being trance. However, trance tends to be more mellow than country, although I guess it depends entirely on which artist you are listening to. |
| |||
I mostly listen to more intense stuff when I work out. Metallica usually does it for me. I always start my workouts with Battery. The intro totally gets me pumped haha. It starts soft and gets more and more intense. __________________ I won't sit down And I won't shut up And most of all I will not grow up. - Frank Turner |

This has been one of my fave workout start songs for a while now. Just a couple seconds to reflect and breathe, then GO! Sikth was a great thrash/punk/progressive metal band from the UK. Sikth - Bland Street Bloom |
