Well..... I have read that listening to music can reduce chronic pain from a range of painful conditions, including osteoarthritis, disc problems and rheumatoid arthritis, by up to 21% and depression by up to 25%. __________________ madeleine |

My preference is to be relaxed and calm while weightlifting. save the energy and pumping music for cardio, when you really need the energy. My range of music is huge, - and especially during a workout - eclectic. I've pounded out heavy deadlifts to Klezmer music by GOlem!, Greek music like Despina Vandi, French like Emilie Simon, Deportivo, Katzenjammer Kabbarett, a lot of various Korean, Russian, Lebanese, and Japanese music (my four favourite countries in terms of music). Funniest bit...I was listening to Eydie Gorme, and did ten reps of weight I normally used for 5. It's a different kind of power to the heavier music some people prefer, but I find some of those old songs from the 50's, 40's and 30's (the standards, not the "pop" of the individual eras (which really wasn't that bad up until the 50's)) have a very powerful emotional enhancement to them that makes me plummet through a workout without wearing away at my eardrums. Then again, I'm an old soul at heart. |

"DVNO" by Justice would be a great song for Chest Day, not so much for squatting. __________________ BigLittleTim on BigMuscleBears.com |

Music for gym workouts: Most soundtracks for SPS (single player shooter) video games gets me pumped up in the gym. Anything by Frank Klepacki is especially good. Check out the soundtracks from "Command and Conquer". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cfqFR6-oKs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=826RgTZojuk Second track will make the most mild mannered wimp into a gym beast. Usually I love to play the songs of fast and furious. Mostly guys are liked to listen fast music during workouts. It's a nature. Every one who like to play music must love to play such fast tracks. __________________ What to do to lose weight? |
