rest time

just a little survey , we are all well-aware that rest is crucial for muscle growth . But how long is adequate , post your rest period here !

normally ,i just work 3 days a week with splits , each day only work specific muscle group ==> every muscle group has 7 days resting before being stimulated again

p/s : i train with heavy weights and low reps ( 2-3 sets , 6-8 reps ) . Works pretty well , too bad my diet is not really good due to my work

A minimum of three days rest for each bodypart, it also depends on the intensity of your workouts. Heavy squats usually require a greater amount of rest and recuperation than an arm workout would normally require. Get your diet in check, having a job is not an excuse, they do have coolers where you can bring prepared food.

is 3 days really necessary? I have been trying to gain weight for a while, and I do a full body about every other day.
