Charley 1 week out from competition

His shoulders are so fucking wide and he's got his chest and arms pumped up so nice...

i think he came in second, losing to Yumon Eaton, who is also quite beastly.

It's weird, but he looks better 1 week out then he does for the competition.

Don't get me wrong, he looks GREAT in the competition... but he doesn't look quite as wide as he does in the first video.

Maybe it's just me...

it is possible to peak too early when preparing for a contest, which may have happened in this case... but to me it just doesnt look like the same guy, or at least, the same year

In my opinion, Charley should have won. I like his shape, the "V" back is what gets me.

He looks flat in the competition video compared to the workout. Hard to make a judgment with his shirt on in the workout, though, can't see the abs.

If you read the comments on the mostmuscular.com clip, Tobydog22 (the account owner) mentions that Charley isn't any smaller in the clip- it's that the proportions between Charley's personal camera and the mostmuscular cameras are different- causing Charley to look narrower and taller than he has been recording himself all along.

Gymini29~ I agree with you. I think it may have been a bit of ego stroking (Tobydog22 had addressed his comments to Charley saying how small he looked). I was just providing additional information, and I'm glad that you were able to consider it and maintain your position. I definitely know nothing about bodybuilding (beyond what I like), so I appreciate your input.

Nothing else looks distorted in Charley's vids.

I'm with Gymini29. It had to be a dieting mistake, which isn't hard to believe for a relative novice to competitions (though obviously not to weightlifting).

He'll look better in future competitions.

He's as wide as a barn door and half again as thick. He's gonna go places.

Now for a momentary off-topic moment.

What does "Viande Chevaline" mean? My French is limited to "parlez-vous anglais?"

Too bad I live in the other side of the world... and my govt. is strongly advised to avoid heading to America due to Swine Flu...

Anyway, do you have a blog of some kind to prove if you are what you say you are? Would love to chat with you online if you don't mind.

Seriously...which government is that? They certainly are freaking out over nothing. Sorry for the tangent, but do you know how many people die of the common flu a year? Thousands in the US alone. Do you know how many people have died of this swine flu? fewer than 200. It's nothing more than a new strain of the flu which HAPPENS EVERY YEAR! That's why we are encouraged to get vaccinated annually.

Come to the Americas. Just wash your hands frequently and you'll be fine.

Oh, yeah and Charley looks fantastic!

Much luv to all!

I just have to correct some of what you said. This is not just the lastest strain of the influenza virus (which peaks in mid-winter in the USA), but an entirely new virus, with some elements of an animal virus. It is potentially a very dangerous thing over the next year or so, and that's why the World Health Organization has just called it a pandemic.

That said, you are right that there have been relatively few deaths so far, but there is alot of uncertainty for the future. There have been cases in something like 80 countries, so it's true that the USA is no more dangerous than anywhere else.

I have to disagree with you. Its true that this is not the latest strain of the influenza virus but an entirely new virus which could be very dangerous (for example, the spanish influenza pandemic of 1918). Fortunately, this strain of flu has proven to be not very dangerous at all. While it seems to be easy to spread like most forms of the influenza virus, it doesnt seem to be very dangerous. Assuming wikipedia is correct, there have been 27,737 confirmed cases of H1N1 infection, and only 141 deaths, which is hardly a high death rate, especially since most of the deaths have occurred in Mexico, a country with a far worse health care system than the United States. In fact, compared to the 2000 New Yorkers who die yearly from seasonal flu, it is hardy noticable. Why the media is pumping up the 57 United States deaths while ignoring the fact that 2,000 people in New York State alone die of seasonal influenza, is beyond me. I'm sure it makes for a good story

so ANYWAY....back to charley, anyone?
he has some new pictures posted on his bodybuilder profile site...? if i had a link I'd share it. but my real point was to steer the discussion back to something at least worth a good wank, if not somewhere relevant
save the--perfectly interesting--debate on swine flu for the general discussion section; link to the relevant posts here if you must. but let's have discussion in the "Muscle Growth Media" section of the forums at least have something to DO with muscle growth media if not outright sharing some?
