Taylor Lautner in "New Moon " (2009) It seems that it's a sequel to "Twilight" . Taylor is suppossed to "bulk up" for the role ( possibly for a werewolf transformation) . |
| |||
It should be interesting to see what they do. He's not only supposed to bulk up but grow about a foot taller. Either way the movie is going to be just terrible, like the Twilight movie....and like the entirety of that series. |
| |||
He sure grew up nice! I haven't seen him sense Lavagirl! :-) And he plays football; I'm guessing bulking up for him would be a cinch! xoxo Richard |

Was just doing some reading around and found this on wikipedia for his character Jacob Black http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob_Black "Taylor Lautner played the part of Jacob Black in the film adaptation of Twilight.[6] However, due to major physical changes in the character of Jacob between Twilight and New Moon, director Chris Weitz is considering replacing Lautner in the sequel with an actor who can more accurately portray "the new, larger Jacob Black."[7] Michael Copon is reportedly one of several actors that Weitz is considering for the role.[7] In an attempt to keep the role, Lautner stated, "I have been working out. I've been working out since the day we finished filming Twilight. I just weighed myself today; I've put on 19 pounds...[and] I'm guaranteeing Weitz 10 more [pounds] by filming."[8] Summit Entertainment claims that the casting decision regarding the character of Jacob has not yet been made.[7]" should be interesting to see what happens |
| |||
Lautner is 5'9; Copon is 6'1. I'd love to see Taylor with 30 more lbs. of muscle! :-) xoxo Richard PS: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0178757/ ...for pix of Copon |

The character of Jacob Black not only gets more muscular, but also significantly taller in the books. 5'9" is short, as is 6'1". I think Jacob Black is suppose to be something like 6'7" or so. __________________ http://www.scott-safier.us "Stand firm for what you believe in until or unless logic or experience prove you wrong. Older....Hotter.... - You know, when this kid was in "The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl", I distinctly remember thinking how his looks were going to take him places (even if his acting might require some evolving). - And it seems I was right. He was cast as one of the main characters in the biggest novel-based movie since "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". And, even if his acting hasn't improved, looks and body-wise, he's only gotten better and better with age. __________________ "...But, as my plastic surgeon always said, 'If ya gotta go...go with a smile!'" - Jack Nicholson as The Joker |

True, but in the movies you can easily make actors looks taller than they really are. Alan Ladd was extremely small but you never knew it thanks to creative camera angles and crafty use of off-screen boxes for him to stand on. And Tom Cruise is about 2 feet tall and yet no one thinks of him as short. So all Taylor really needs to do is keep bulking up, since muscles are less easily faked. And so far he seems to be doing a good job. I really hope they keep in the film, especially since he'll apparently have to spend a lot of time wearing nothing but cut-offs.... |

anyone remeber him when he was in the martial arts tournament years ago? i think it was a U.S. open... 2002- 2003 im guessin.., it was well before he did sharkboy and tv show guest appearances. anyway he was very impressive then extremely fast, skinny but had potential to grow a few pounds of muscle on him (which he did not much but hes getting there).. hes also in the short lived ''my own worst enemy'' where he did some moves which helped him get him into films. i think it was inbetween episode 5 - 7 around there. his acting needs a little work though... he cant rely on the ''pretty boy thing'' all the time to get better parts.. hearmenowu2 __________________ check out my DA page HERE for some muscle growth animations or go to MY PB page HERE to stream my videos and more or visit MM's yahoo page HERE to see some of the pics that i put there that cant be posted anywhere else for obvious reasons ... my Imageshack page |

Well here's a video update of the progress, he flexes a bit and shows his abs: |

Jacob black's about 6'3, 6'4 in New Moon, 6'5-6'6 in Eclipse and 6'7-6'8 in Breaking Dawn. With each growth spurt up he also grows out, so if he steadily gains weight for each movie, he should be fine. And he's only 16, mind you. Puberty's just beginning for him. If he's telling the truth, then 26 pounds is a lot in that little time. Whatever it is, Robert Pattinson definitely has some competition. __________________ Why would you ever stop if you haven't gotten what you want? |

Even though I disliked the entire Twilight series I always liked Jacob over Edward. Taylor Lautner is looking good already and I love his attitude. |

He's doing A LOT better then Zac Efron, me thinks... __________________ [Insert witty quote here...] |

New Moon trailer is up There is a trailer up on " New Moon" on Youtube . Type " new moon trailer" . There is some clothes ripping as taylor transforms into a wolf & a shirtless scene was in the 1:20 trailer . I thought the transformation was good . It looked like somewhat like the wof transformation of "Blood & Chocolate" . The best transformation had to be Rick Baker in " American Werewolf in London" . I was hoping for something like the werewolf in " Underworld " . Nevertheless , I'm piqued and looking forward to its release . |

And for those that dont want to search for the Vid and DAYUM Taylor seriously has gotten bigger __________________ Favorite Authors: RedKage, Aardvark, muscl4life |

The werewolf transformations in the (relatively low-budget) "Being Human" series were quite good, I thought. Pity the actor isn't better built. |
| |||
I agree with both points. A big reason why the transformations in "Being Human" were so good was because they relied on prosthetics and animatronics instead of CGI. The result is that you actually see stuff happen in front of the camera, instead of being digitally superimposed on it. |

Taylor is sex-on-a-stick as far as I'm concerned, and the only reason I watched "Twilight," one of the most laughably awful movies I've ever seen. Now I'll have to sit through "New Moon" too, though only on DVD, where I can fast-forward to his shirtless scenes. The height won't be an issue. Good grief, if they turned the gigantic John Rhys Davies into Gimli the Dwarf, they won't have a problem adding inches to Taylor. |

now I find Taylor hot like most of you, but I will never give this franchise any of my money I die alittle inside every time someone tells me the characters are vampires they sparkle for Christ sakes! if I want to see sparkling people I will go find a stripper and shine a light on him or her but I still would ahem Taylor __________________ Play nice people. |

Twilight, the series --- an overview
now I find Taylor hot like most of you, but I will never give this franchise any of my money I die alittle inside every time someone tells me the characters are vampires they sparkle for Christ sakes! if I want to see sparkling people I will go find a stripper and shine a light on him or her QUOTE] I recently read all 5 books in the series. While they were well-written, they do have flaws. The main character, Bella, has the worst self-esteem of any character I've read in recent years. She hates herself, her looks, being human and everything about high school except Edward Cullen and her friend Jacob Black. As a parent, I found her attitude towards her family extremely troublesome, and don't see her as a good role model for teenage girls, who are a main demographic for these books. The series has been compared to Romeo and Juliet (young love between warring clans, i.e., human and vampire) but it's also about low self esteem, distorted body image, absent parents, bad choices and impulsive acts. While entertaining, the Sookie Stackhouse books are funnier, have more sex, and better, stronger lead characters. ["True Blood" is the name of the series, currently on Showtime. The books are awesome] I rate "Twilight" One (1) FANG UP Mdlftr |

I have to disagree about Bella. Name one teenager that does not hate how they look, and does not see the beauty that they really are. To me Bella seemed like a person who would do anything for her family, loved them beyond measure and did not think about herself, but about how she could help others. Also it's not that she thinks she is ugly, but that she thinks she is not beautiful enough for Edward. I find it refreshing that there is a character out there that is a bit humble and not stuck on themselves. I also agree that Taylor is hot, even though I cannot stand Jacob as I believe he is an ass that does not think before he acts and does not think about how his actions impact everyone else. |

wishful thinking lautner looks great. my hope is that they do make him keep bulking for each movie, and that he ends up flaunting a mammoth, arnie-terminator-like bod (extra-wishful thinking- EVEN BIGGER!) by the end. Hollywood stylistically is extremely conservative in lots of ways- as a rule, some muscles, but not LOTS of muscles, kinda-big tits, but not HUGE tits, guys with long hair rarer than hen's teeth, guys with huge shoulders- unusual body shapes/sizes- they seem so set on casting for demographics (set models for beauty) they don't capture the variety of the human species that we see walking around us every day. Twilight is a story set in the time of growing up- give all those viewers a life lesson that being different physically is not some weirdo thing. It's there in real life. Make Lautner huge and a generation will think of massive muscularity in a whole new (and much healthier and accepting) way. __________________ -UrGaath |
