Joint Support How many of you guys use wraps to reinforce things like your knees? |
| |||
Sometimes I use one of those flexible knee support things (can't remember the exact name right now), but I'm told you shouldn't do use them for very long because your joints won't get stronger if you do. :/ But if I DON'T use it... Lose/Lose, it seems x3 |

Used to for knees and even elbows, but weaned myself off them, except for the wrist wraps, which I still use for heavy upper body lifts. |

Same here. On my heaviest pressing movements I wrap my wrists with APT Pro wrist wraps. I also have their knee wraps but I read enough reasonable advice about not using them unless you are coming back from an injury. |

I use wraps on my heaviest set of squats otherwise I do not use them. |

Thanks guys, I wasn't too sure how good of an idea they were, I'm getting ready to bump my leg presses from 16-45# plates (around 720lbs not including the weight sled) up to 18-45# plates (around 810lbs, no sled) as well as bumping leg extensions up to 120lbs per leg and more (Life Fitness machine, allows legs to be done individually) and just wasn't too sure if wraps would be a good idea. Didn't really want to ask at a sporting good/health store just because I may get a sales answer instead of an honest one. |
